there is virtually no chance of this happening, we are talking about zero chance.. - and most knew from the very start, Nexon had absolute no chance.
while you may be concerned about the impossible, you'd still get your money back, as per https://www.darkanddarker.com/legal/payment-policy
7.4 If we suspend public access to a game, or if we tell you we're going to do this, within 30 days of you purchasing a game and the suspension will be for a duration of more than 30 days, you can contact us at support@ironmace.com and we'll refund you the purchase price of the game, and any sums you've paid in advance for services you won't receive, provided you are not in breach of your agreement with us. If the suspension of public access occurs after this point, we will not be able to provide a refund.
in short, you want to play the Game, go ahead - worst case scenario you get your money back, or say for some crazy miracle this case is not dismissed - then after three or four years in a legal battle it could be that Ironmace loses and well.. you played for three years and they would eventually have to stop supplying the services, so yeah.. you got to play only a few years.
Pretty much totally untrue.
The legal battle isn't set in stone, and your most definitely not a legal expert, nor do you have any access to more information than any of us do.
And those terms you stated? Worthless, extremely difficult to enforce and chase, and that's assuming the company continues. Which, lets face it, if they lost that's not likely.
You've no experience in things like this otherwise you'd know the above. Please tell me how you'd claim the money back if the company didn't respond to you?
I understand you like the game, to extremes it seems. But lying to people about being able to get their money back is pretty underhanded tbh.
Let people gamble, but give them truthful information.
And yes, if they lose, they can't sell the game. So without income, it's hardly likely they will continue to run the servers.
Based on the posters total lack of knowledge in the area. Like I asked whoizz, please do tell us how you'd get this money back if they didn't even respond?

I said this during the betas, so that at least people would have a back up option if the devs went bust, or if their servers went down for a while.
It's listed in the terms of agreement when you buy the game, if you actually bought the game and read them then you'd know.
Perhaps Laggy, but not unplayable Snooze
And around we go.
How would you claim this back if they didn't pay you, or ignored you?
You won't answer, because you don't know. You'll ignore it.
Yeah, I would like to keep any game Alive even if people think there is 0 Point, At some point the Game will be shut down and Permanently lost. So why not Buy it and let people also play LAN or Peer to Peer ;) that will keep the game going even in server maintenance.
