Softcore dungeons - Keep equiped items on death ?

A game mode where you can keep equipped items you brought from the lobby after death ? You still drop what s in your inventory and still need to escape from the dungeon with an item if you want to "secure" it.

I think it could add another interesting approach to the game with minimal effort from the devs.

People would search for BIS items and more people would be competing for bossfights. Also there would be much fewer rats in this game mode.

Softcore would take away the excitement. Rats are a big part of any battleroyale game. You need to be more aware of enemy players instead of looting 99% of the time.

Don't bring in any gear and then you won't lose your gear when you die, thoughts on this?

the idea is to have a game mode where everyone is geared, so nope

How are ppl not used to play hard games ? Just accept if you die... go try again ... there must not be another game which exactly tells you what to do, taking your hand, iron your clothes, making you food.

This is directly opposite to a very core aspect of the gameplay loop so I don't see it happening.

In Escape from Tarkov you can start an "offline" raid with your gear. You can play the map solo with PvE, but you dont keep any loot you get. For training purposes I'd like that

Im so tired of people mentioning an FPS game that died and whos devs gave a ton of ridiculous things to the community in damage control trying not to get justice leagued. Tarkov devs are horrible and everyone thinks they are 60 IQ for how they handle their game.

You lose your items the whole point is you only get gear you deserve. If you lost the item its because youre being punished for not having the skill required to have that gear.
