Why does some people have blue or light pink name color?

Its the karma system. Blue is people that farmed good karma red is people that farmed bad karma.

Edit: It is important to understand that blue names are not necessarily friendly and reds are not always team killers. You should probably still treat everyone you run into as a potential homicidal maniac regardless of the color of their name.

Is there a way to view your own character karma? As in how close you are to having a coloured name?
