Especially for the first starting hump, the damage is just not there. Not sure how you're supposed to take on Barbarians or geared fighters either. I get its supposed to be a team game somewhat, but still puts rogue in a weird place for team fights.
Poison/Bleed and stealth really all he got going. After stealth is up, that's kinda it.
My best tip that I've picked up on. Is to play very ratty when you're low geared.
Hide in corners. Wait for players to finish fighting everything in the room, so they potentially have low HP when you engage.
At high gear level, Rogue becomes incredibly nasty I've seen people do 75-80 dmg per stab with the dagger, with poison applying on top of that.
Love bot is correct, even with top gear you play rat with no potions showing and you basically never die and kill anyone you want when you choose.
By the right build, you mean the right purple weapon
Not to mention the utility of being able to open doors or chests faster is completely overshadowed by anyone else literally breaking them down...? Or how about detect traps being completely useless once you learn their location? Disarming feels garbage too since most of the time you can just crouch or sidestep them, not to mention takes too long.
Haste and Ignite on Rogue weap + poison. That ♥♥♥♥ nasty.

That may be nice but we never once used or needed it, the double poison is MORE than enough. They dont know the rogue is even there to start and get distracted by a solo wizard = free kill on the backline to even it out in less than 3 seconds. Enemy team either panics and seperates/runs away or over commits and dies cause nothing in the game can catch a agility stacked rogue or wizard currently other than similar builds.
Also pretty much every class in the game should be prioritizing agility for total movespeed, its basically broken rn. That includes wizards.
If I am in a match and can afford it I am moving at LEAST 100% (300) speed WITH my weapons out... and with them put away going 311+ (cant remember exact % there)
