Don't get me wrong, I understand melee users deal more damage but like, they are in melee range, more likely exposed to damage, either from mobs or even swings from teammates.
Ranger is by far the easiest to solo AI
Wizard does incredible damage, mostly just spamming arcane missile. Please play more before you review.
Mages are useless until they get a great orb dagger/book. The entire balance of them is in the "magic damage on hit" of magic missiles and the dot ticks of fireball.
Getting a teamkill with chainlightning is almost impossible, they have to have low mr, be stacked, and you need 2 or 3 uninterrupted 3 man casts. Most are fully geared/decked wizards, or cheaters abusing infinite bounce range(subtle maybe some are more obvious).
For example. Barbs can spawn level 1 with like 43% magic resistances and 130 max health. That takes..... A LOT of fireballs when they hit for 10/ 20/ 30 depending on placement.
Low level players aren't really in a position to judge balance. I am a solo player who has taken Rogue and Wizard to 20 and working on my Ranger now (15).
I think rangers are fine, you can't really judge a class until you unlock all the abilities and play with different combinations.
If you're playing a back row class, maybe try staying in the back row in a party or keeping a distance from threats solo.
but that aside
Maybe something like different resistances could later on realy be interesting to allow the game to be more finely tuned also one thing we might be able to agree on the starting gear for Ranger realy should not be the survival bow atleast give them a Recuve maybe (Wizard while i realy hate the staff it frankly does work and no need to make them the only class to spawn with 2 Weapons
Lower levels are just as much a part of the overall balance as the higher ones, and it is completely unavoidable as well.
The only thing I'd like to see added to Ranger currently would be an junk tier Arming Sword so they are consistent with other classes in having some form of melee option (even Wizards have their staff in desperate situations/for destroying things after all).
