Dark and Darker

Losing all your items from leaving a lobby
Losing your items from leaving a lobby is just dumb, if something comes up and you need to leave before the match starts you shouldn't be punished, that is just plain stupid.

matches take like 10 minutes lol

what youre doing when readying up is agreeing that you will play thru the match or get penalized, regardless of your reasoning for quitting.

if you cant wait 10 minutes to play with your friend, then i guess you dont have time for the game at all.

no rocket science involved. ready means ready.

Its like the definition of an echo chamber in here.
Everyone keeps chiming up what we see on paper while never considering how players actually play.

Like my dude.
I’m literally going into the underworld, that takes more than 10 minutes is all.
Not everyone is sitting around sub-24 farming PvP kills is all.

And whats the harm of backing out of a lobby thats still filling up again?
Dude, it's pointless trying to reason with this dude, the game is currently this way, therefor he is right and everyone else is wrong.

You're readying to go into a pre-game lobby, leaving a pre-game lobby literally harms nobody because as the title implies... It's pre-game.
No worries I will explain.

Readying up and seeing well geared players in the tavern? May as well back out and keep trying that until you see a mostly ungeared lobby.

Now you see why the system is the way it is ;)

It's almost as though the game could use some kind of matchmaking system to ensure new players don't get put in lobbies with experienced players in the first place...

Well unfortunately your right.
Diet-PvP here seems to barely know how to fight anyone. Least vocally especially.

But it’s more just tiring how the entire communitys willing to bend over backwards for a flawed product.
The games current path looks to be quantity over quality.
Why focus on polishing when you can add more stuff right?

Two steps forward, 3 steps back sorta deal as classes get gutted while gear and systems remain the exact same.

Yeah, not too sure, I'm a new player and am experiencing first hand the issues, the current system favours the players who've been playing for a long time, because they're already geared up and are able to just squash new players who are put into a lobby with them.

The game desperately needs some kinda invisible MMR system IMO.

And also to stop penalising players for leaving lobbies. Like as a group, sure there's an argument that everyone had to ready up, but as a solo player, it's literally clicking two buttons, then you have no way of backing out if you realise you've got the wrong gear, or your kid needs you, etc, etc.

It's such a harsh penalty for newer players too, because they're likely to be losing literally all the gear they have.

Man people have lives.
Not everyone can dedicate 100% time to games at will, stuff happens.
Know you don’t care but there’s gotta be better things to do with your free time.

the games are like 10-15 mins, if something comes up, happens, if people could leave the lobby, they would dodge all the time because of people geared/ungeared
so implement a punishment that is different than losing everything on you, like an hour ban or something or a gold fine, let the punishment fit the crime.
nah, I think you losing all your gear is the proper punishment for dogging

And for those who aren't dodging but have to take care of something IRL?

Not really. Don't quit after starting the match because you are scared.

Not everyone dodges and players can hide gear in their inventorys.
This isnt a comp game.
