Solo que is too easy, what should the devs do to increase the difficulty?
So far the goblin caves are incrediably easy and have tons of loot rooms in close proximity of most spawns.

I think the areas with a lot of loot need more mobs or even a mini-boss like a smaller cave troll.

Also, 4 portals spawning is a little too high, should bring it down to 3.

No portals at all. Like suicide squad.
And traps should be lethal.
My thoughts find your thoughts a little lacking. I think the difficulty is at the right place for a solo level. Most beginner players will struggle to complete it without being forced to learn the mechanics and enemies. There are also already multiple skeleton champions that require an amount of skill to defeat, or even get past in many situations with their additional enemies present, however a huge problem is the goblin shamans don't fill the role of tougher mobs, they commit suicide with by randomly timing heals at the worst times, their spell is easily kited even when they have a clear shot, and perhaps polishing them/their animations first would be a way to go before adding new harder or straight just more enemies, because in my mind the loot present is already a just passable level of rarity.
I disagree about number portals going down as well, I would go the other way and add some, the game seems to have trouble spawning them on lower floors already, also I see no reason to punish the kind of cooperative, or stealth play that some classes are less more suited to than the true solo far more PvP oriented play that less portals would necessitate.

I think you're right about the mobs, most of them are easy to kite or wait for the long heal animation. Maybe the big boi loot rooms should have red mobs with different animations like the nightmare versions do.

Yeah, red enemies are a greater challenge while also helping people advance their skills, so I would be all for larger numbers, and personally I am always happy to find reds.

Lol... yeah... I think a lot of people don't figure out the champ isn't truly much more difficult than the other enemies, he hits basically as hard, and his combo is the only thing that makes him dangerous. I think most people avoid him because they are to scared to fight him, or perhaps cant separate the adds. I try to kill them whenever possible. There is a second champion behind the stone lever that is an easier room to fight it in.

Yea, those red spiders are incrediably annoying and you have a hard time with them if you don't have range to break the crap in the way of the urn
The skeleton champion in goblin cave would probably be attacked by more people (the one that spawns near the pool of water) if that room didn't also have like 6 regular skeletons that spawn in it, and a few death beetles that patrol around as well. Skeleton champion is more guarded in goblin cave than the center wraith room in forgotten castle, god help you if you're desperate and sprint through that room, you'll aggro like 10 mobs .
All spiders can now fly, and the entire dungeon has no torches lit at all, complete black out. Goblins can see though invisible buffs and stalk you in the darkness. Enjoy your nightmare fuel.

It's going the right direction imo. It is hard enough to kick beginner's arses, which they can reasonably overcome with a little dedication. For seasoned people it is still fun because of the troll room. The troll room has fairly nice loot (maximum epic) and it allows for some interesting gameplay moments, Either total war between players trying to claim the troll loot, or even some unexpected alliances.

All in all, i think it is pretty nicely executed, and mind you that it still has an "experimental" label slapped into it. So, yeah, they're probably reading all opinions on it. Just keep posting the impressions and lets hope they keep improving this already fun addition to the game.
