To be honest I buy items that I have space in my stash :)
equipment makes you significantly stronger but it doesnt mean youll escape but when you do die you should be saving your excess. enough that you could come in with at least slightly better than naked start.
Now this isnt to defend the system i definitely think dieing and not winning is often enough that i wouldnt get attacked to literally any gear ever which has its own drawbacks. Just to say that escaping isnt as hard as its made out to be and you should be able to at least be able to keep a small bit of gold and equipment for later. But sometimes you will run out.
I WILL NOTE i havnt played the solo map since its release so i cant give oppinions on survival rate of that. Just my opinions on how my 3s runs have been. you definitely lose enough that equipment is a bonus not an expectation
It just dissapears the next run anyway.
Then you start the grind again...
Only sense of progress comes from seeing your naked level 15 character get a new perk
This is the WHOLE POINT of having a stash.
meaning dont bring in an epic weapon with armor bought from a vendor, if you have gear that goes with your playstyle you will be winning every dungeon
and lots of meds never hurt anyone band aids are better then pots since pots dont stack
take a pot then use a bandaid while the healing effect is still active
oh and always check the ground man, you never know where those rangers be puting their funny metal plates
No point in buying gear.
Nope I'm doing 100+ dmg per hit with a blue spear to the head and 90s to the body at least if the training dummy in the pre game tavern is accurate. It 2-3 shots goblins. Usually drop them before they can even swing since the reach on the spear is pretty decent.
I've probably extracted successfully the last 10 times in a row with no issues. Even 1v2 players who were trying to gank me. Luckily I usually set some traps up and turn torches off next to them for later use in the round if needed. Caught many a barb and rogue in even the cheap traps and destroyed them.
When you team up, look for a balanced team. 1 ranged, 1 melee, 1 cleric. Anything other than that balance is entirely dependent on other teams sucking worse than you.
Stash essential shields/weapons/spell memory items, sell everything else that isn't equipped.
You can do rat runs on forgotten castle for financial gain if you can't get a solid team going.
Microphones are a must.
Keep chatter to a minimum. Keep your call outs simple. Too many players running their mouths means that the enemy will hear you before you hear them.
Make sure your voice chat is in party mode.
Going down to level 2 can save you if you are careful, but you will more than likely die down there.
