game is literally too dark

You have a touch to see in the shadows and the shadows are for hiding in.

The darkness literally instructs your PC to display pure black on your monitor. This is done on purpose to prevent gamma cheaters. It's a core feature of the game and it will not change lol. Throw your torches on the ground if you need more light.

You could always learn to fight in the dark.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but this game is called "Dark and Darker". If you are expecting something different, you may be looking in the wrong place.

Thats uh... kinda the point. I turn out lights as solo so I can mess with gankers and it works pretty well.
