idk man im super annoyed i meet the req and don't have any overlays and stuff like that i have everything updated so im not sure why my game keeps crashing

i checked my task running and i had msi afterburners and epic games running in the background after closing them it stopped crashing

My friend told me that these two methods fix most of the crashes for dark and darker:
1. Limit your FPS in your Nvidia/AMD control panel. You need to manually set FPS to the lowest reasonable number.
2. Open the Steam Library, right-click on Dark and Darker, and go to "Properties" - "General" - "Launch Options" - put "-dx11" there with no QUOTES.
Hope this will help you out. If not, you can also try using LagoFast game booster to connect better with the server. It also deals with FPS problems in the game, from which I suffer the most.

My game would crash on startup and go to the Unreal problem log/reporter.
All prior mentioned methods had no effect. Clean install, updated drivers, reverted drivers, framerate locks, DLL Admin permissions, DX updates and reversions, all no effect.
Then I changed my sound properties to emulate Windows Sonic for Headphones and the game works.
Yes, it's stupid and makes no sense. However, the game works.
GL anyone else still having issues.

My friend was having the same problem and this actually worked, We are confused why it worked but it does so thanks for sharing.
