Some class/weapon combos can work, but you can't really make the whole game controller viable without changing the fundamentals of it.
Does it work well with the Steam Deck out of curiosity? I do know it's good to have a keyboard on hand, probably a mouse as well already.
However i don't see how a controller would make the game more playable than a keyboard and mouse.
I probably should have practiced with gyro aiming. I sadly didn't think to try that until just now. I kind of brushed that idea to the side when I disliked it in Splatoon.
