Dark and Darker

What do you think of the circle of death.
i think circle of death system is problematic.

In this game, the circle of death makes us encounter opponents with stronger items.
There is no problem now, but there will be a time when the difference between the person who played this game late and the person who played it first becomes indescribable.
By then, the current circle of death system will be very unreasonable.

Like Tarkov, this game will have a gap in items over time.
Tarkov can walk away quietly, but This game is frequently engaged with the opponent due to the magnetic field.
Therefore, I think games should give users a choice.
Whether to find a better item or to relax in a comfortable house.

so here's the solution I think.
whenever a new circle of death is created, new portal will create to escape this dangerous place.(Right now, the location and time of the portal are random.
but I hope the location is random but the time is fixed.)

But whenever the circle of death gets stronger, if a more special item will found.
I will to take the risk.
( Whenever a new circle of death is created, it will be fun if the probability of finding a rarer item increases.)

The other option is to have maps designed to push players into the deeper levels faster. Make down portals part of clearing one of the few mini bosses, Wraiths for lvl 2 (our lvl 1 for the playtest). That way the geared folks will be focused on delving deeper, racing other geared players to the good stuff.

The circle I believe ought not be a circle. Since the maps are not procedural, there is no reason why they can't program the swarm to essentially push players evenly out of rooms. It should essentially follow the map corridors. Since the lore seems to be that it is carnivorous insects, it doesn't make a lot of sense that it's done the way it is. Have them invade the map from as many or as few directions as they want, and have them take over rooms one by one. Might even be cool to have them eat everything from chests to doors, corpses and mobs. Maybe a risky adventure can wait for a locked chest to be consumed and grab an item or two before they too are consumed.

I am negative about going to Level 2 through the portal. I want it to be more difficult like level 2 as go to the center of the map.

The forcefield is the carrion swarm you dumdum.. And the reason you see it as a forcefield is because your character is panicing because of the impending doom and danger..

Maybe you shouldn't have traveled to the depths and opened up the tomb of Tutankhamun u greedy fcks..

The circle is necessary. What people can exploit will exploit, and I'm pretty sure this would lead to some problematic scenarios.

It only took the few days of this playtest for major gear discrepancies to rise up. The best time to play tarkov is during a reset, while the quality of the game drops as time goes on and the core gameplay loop of looting and extracting becomes meaningless because people are just joining to deathmatch with their endless stashes. You can see it reflected in the active player rates.

I know people wanted this extended but honestly the game would probably not be as popular long term if they did leave it in open beta. This playtest was about as much content and run time as the current state of the game could handle without people growing stale on it, this was kind of the perfect sized sampler to hook a lot of people.

Equipment will probably be an issue later on, didn't even think about that yeah.

I think they should look at hunt, it's very similar to this game. Don't have a circle of death BUT have a timer that if finished kills you.

I think a good way to combat that issue is to make level scrolls/Other mechanic that allow you to start at deeper levels from the start, i dont think a lot of well geared players who want to push further down would want to start at level 1 and go all the way down to where their gear starts to matter, it would also be good way to allow players with no gear to not get one shot every time someone tries to go deeper

It should be removed. It has no place in a game like this.
