X-Plane 12

X-Plane 12

Can't load my last flight
When I tried to load the latest flight situation, an error occurred and the game crashed. What should I do to fix it?

Here is the log:

It seems this issue is caused by Active Sky although when trying to reproduce it I can't. With Active Sky running I save a flight then reload it and it loads fine. Maybe HiFi has since fixed this. What version of Active Sky are you running? It's also worth noting that I am in the X-Plane 12 beta branch.

I don't use the Active Sky, though
Maybe it's part of another mod?

Start up X-Plane 12 let it crash then upload your entire log file to a text hosting site and post the URL of it here.

Hm. Rename your X-Plane 12 install to X-Plane 12.bak then reinstall X-Plane 12. Launch X-Plane 12. You will see a message about the executable missing. Hit Ok or whatever it says (I forgot) and let it redownload X-Plane 12. Once done launch it and see if it stops crashing. If it does then something is causing the crash in your original X-Plane 12 install. If it's still crashes then it's something to report to Laminar Research. Once done testing you can delete the X-Plane 12 folder and rename the X-Plane 12.bak folder to X-Plane 12.

To be clear, I need to rename x-plane12.exe and then start the file verification process?

No. Rename your X-Plane 12 root folder to X-Plane 12.bak. Once you have start X-Plane 12. It will tell you that it can't find the executable. Once you press Ok or whatever it is you can download a new copy of X-Plane 12.

Same, except that it now loads the cockpit, then throws a notification that the scenery is missing. I pressed OK, and then the same error occurred. Well, I'm going to report it and contact support.

The scenery missing is because you haven't downloaded the Global Scenery DLC for that area which is to be expected on a fresh install with no scenery selected.
