X-Plane is better than MS Flight Simulator
You can not change my mind.

Yes, I recongnise that I cant, I am very sorry about that.
Why is it better?

The core distinction between the two is a comparison between simulation quality VS graphical quality.

If You're looking for graphics - go MSFS. Full stop. Don't get me wrong - XP12 doesn't look terrible, but still is below MSFS especially in terms of terrain itself. It's an ok flight game.

IF however You're looking for SIMULATOR rather than just pretty scenery - X-Plane is far superior in this aspect. Which is frankly why it is my preference of the two. Still pretty, but when it comes to systems and flight models - MSFS has nothing on X-Plane.

But don't take MY word on it. Let me put it in a different terms.

X-Plane has a possibility for a license that grants You a key that unlocks few software limitations. Quite expensive admittedly, but here's the trick - This license + some hardware for simulation can give You a set of software+hardware to get FAA validation of the combo as official simulation set that allows You to clock simulation hours for CPL and ATP licenses.

Specifically - BATD (Basic) level hardware is a package ~9k USD, and Precision Flight Controls provide AATD (Advanced) level package though some full motion simulators variant can also use slightly modified X-Plane as core.

Biggest differences being in hardware compatibility [FAA approved versions are compatible with hardware radios], as well as instrumentation to the higher quality.

Unlike XPlane or Aeroplane FS2 - MSFS CANNOT be FAA certified with or without additional hardware.

And yes. Microsoft CLAIMS it has/tracks more variables than any other simulator on the market. The question is - what is the point of those if they are not utilized, or utilized in manner that makes the flight unrealistic?
Apples are better than oranges and you cant change my mind !
for me mfs is better

With normal home simmer equipment that is not so straightforwards. Depends on planes but stock C172 are in similar level.
The following things are better in Xplane 12:

- Full G-Force Simulation
- By far better quality of standard airports (With floor markings and gate numbering)
- Better ground textures for taxiways and runways of standard airports
- No data streaming
- From a great height much sharper textures
- Significantly better lighting quality during the day and at night
- Much better and easier setting of the aircraft controls (setup for joysticks, etc.)
- Faster and simpler menu
- Shorter loading times
- A fully functional replay function that allows you to watch e.g. your own take-offs and landings from any camera perspective
- More realistic driving experience on the ground (taxi)
- Vortex at planes are included the sim without expensive addons
- Overall better for airliners.

The following things are better in MSFS 2024

- Higher detailed ground textures outside airports (when the datastreaming works)
- Multiplayer is possible without an additional program
- Better for small aircraft with visual flight
- Okay, to be honest, I can't think of any more positive things.

In my eyes, microsoft/Asobo has failed terribly in all points.
It was their task to provide a very good platform.
Unfortunately, they didn't make it. No immersion, but rather an arcade feeling.
Countless bugs, a really horrible career mode with AI voices and just slapped along without any love.
It all feels very stirile and there are no emotions (except disappointment and anger).

If you're not in the mood for realism and want to do a few loops over New York with a few half-heartedly programmed planes and an Xbox controller, you might be satisfied with the MSFS 2024.But if you attach great importance to immersion, you are much better off with the Xplane 12.

I have previously flown the MSFS 2020 and the MSFS 2024. After that, I switched to the Xplane 12 and it just feels great.

Minor correction.
X-Plane DOES allow for multiplayer without use of 3rd party software. It is however not that intuitive, given multiplayer session requires direct connection between host and a client using 'network' menu in options. Direct connection also means no nat transversal by default.

Still MSFS is better on MP side, but not as much as initially proposed.

Unfortunately, the MSFS is not really good in the multiplayer area either. You only see the suspension of other players when you are very close. Which is really unpleasant if you want to watch take-offs and landings. There are also no sounds on the planes of other players.

Also, details such as open doors, windows, passenger boarding bridges or ground crew of other players are not displayed. So it is and will remain anything but optimal in MSFS 2024. For me, it's almost useless.
after nearly 1000 hours in MSFS has swithched for X-Plane 12

For mer xp12 is better.....

You are in an X-Plane forum... most of us are here for a reason. So you just told X-Plane users, how good X-Plane is? I'm pretty sure, those who own this sim, know pretty well, why they purchased it.

So, what exactly is your point?

You should write that in some MSFS forum... with a good escape plan handy of course. ;-)

Not really, it's not that simple it depends on your preferences in a sim. If you want to prioritize visuals, scenery or destination vibes MSFS is for you. If you want more fun aircraft operating then X-plane 12. I fly both and fly high-fidelity planes(PMDG, iFly, Flight Factor, Zibo) in both.
You like one sim better than the other. Good for you, but who the hell cares? Your opinion is not fact, and if you post somewhere that isn't specifically for X-Plane users then you'll realise that. What are you expecting here, a pat on the head from the community? Grow up mate.
give me a simulator with a great sky depiction so i don't have to be switching camera to look to the ground. xp12>msfs
