Xplane 12 vs msfs 2024 im torn on which to get

Scenery is msfs best part and career but xplane has realistic movement but no career mode. which should I get thanks btw I used to play xplane 11.

Both are pretty good. I don't play the career mode in MSFS 2024 but I've heard it's very buggy right now. I've been flying the TorqueSim Citation 525 in XP 12 and COWS DA40 / DA42 in MSFS 2024 as of late. To better the scenery in XP 12 I use Ortho4XP, simHeaven X-WORLD, GeoReality Global Forests v2, and X-Codr Airport Enhancement Package.

There are addons for this that work with X-Plane 12.

It's more a question of what's more important to you, aircraft physics or visuals? Although MSFS already has pretty good physics, just decide for yourself whether exploring the world during a flight (MSFS) is important to you or you want a more realistic exploration of aircraft (XP12)

Ha, totally backwards. Its FS2024 that is crazy buggy and glitchy. You can't get 5 min in career without something not working right.

XP12 is the most solid and accurate sim out. Menus make sense and control mappings don't vanish. XP12 actually loads fast each and every time with no missing or melted graphics, and can be played fully offline.

NIce thank you I used to play xplane 11 and then got 2020 I liked it but then I started seeing a lot weird stuff with the world map with bridges underwater and lots of flat houses like I was just flying in google earth.

The difference in flight dynamics isn't anywhere as large as it used to be. Visuals in MSFS are way better than X-plane if you have the grunt for it, although X-Plane can come close with a lot of work. While MSFS has crashing issues its usually done to mod conflict and running out of memory (I personally haven't had a crash in MSFS for months). Mostly stock with only a few mods and it is vastly more stable than X-plane (I have like 2TB of mods I play around with - Addons Linker is a dream). I only really fly the Concorde the 742, and the A340 in X-plane, and I haven't been able to complete a transatlantic flight in X-plane for months now I constantly get Vulkan errors, Vulkan is hot garbage and until they fix that I personally cannot recommend X-plane. Also as a fresh user experience, I think MSFS is better imo. But saying that X-Plane has more options with things like keybinds (at least when compared to 2020, not so much with 2024) but MSFS is more approachable and user friendly.

You have XP11 aready so XP12 will be upgrade to that. Wait for sale and grab it. XP11 is good so no need to hurry. What comes to MSFS2024, take a month Game Pass and try yourself.

you can get a 2 week trial of Xbox game pass and test out MSFS 24 and MSFS, i tried them both and decided to go for Xplane 12, i have a gaming PC and both MSFS and FS24 freeze up and crash constantly, no replay mode, low FPM, weild un intuitive camera controls. no thank you, its Xplane 12 for me, oh dit i mention the Zibo and level up mods are better than the PMDG? hell yah
