How to download sceneries for X-plane 12 in Steam?

How to download sceneries for X-plane 12 in Steam? It says they are downloaded in library but no scenery when starting fkight,

I have the similar issue - it says I need to run the installer to add seceneries - but where is the installer on the steam version???

Do you mean the Global Scenery?

I'd suggest using ortho4xp to download satellite images from Bing or Google maps.

Sorry for the delayed answer, I was not aware that I have to download the sceneries pack separately via steam.
After doing so the ‘water’ problem is fixed.

@ferengi - heard about that software, but I am running XPlane on a Mac. So far the ortho4xp is only for windows machines…
