Loss of roll control during flight
So I was just out for a quick circuit in the Citation to try and learn the basics of it. I was doing a circuit on heading and altitude hold (trying to teach myself how to look in 2 places at once to adjust the heading knob), and things were going great.

Came back around to line up to land, turned the heading hold off and attempted to roll right to get in line with the runway... But nothing happened. So I assumed the autopilot was blocking me, and switched it right off. Still nothing. So I tried the rudder pedals... That worked. Only now I'm banking further and further, and still can't roll out of it.

At this stage I thought my joystick might have stopped working, so I paused the game, unplugged it, replugged it, and tried again. Nope. So I switched the autopilot back on, which stopped it crashing, and I tried a few more things - pitch up and down works. Roll left doesn't. Roll right doesn't. Throttle does (it's on the joystick).

Now I'm thinking there's an issue with the joystick itself. Dead potentiometer or a broken wire or something. Went into settings and check the stick. Nope it's working fine. Full, smooth control on each axis. Roll is working at the control level into the game.

I now went back to the plane, and looked again. I moved my view down to see the yoke, and tried again... Roll... Nothing. Doesn't budge. Pitch... Yep. Full control forward and back (and autopilot disables, stick shaker comes on, etc because I'm

My question...
Am I an idiot that just doesn't know how the citation works? Is there some feature that would have locked the roll axis in place right up to the yoke? Or did the game derp out and just decided not to listen to the stick inputs for that axis?

Can't remember ever having a similar situation. You could check the aircraft failures menu to see if some aircraft system failure has occurred. You can also click on the 'Fix All Systems' button to fix everything, just in case.

Laminar has a three-part tutorial for flying the Citation on their Youtube channel.

Hasn't happened since... So I guess that's something :winter2019joyfultearsbulb:

I had checked the failures, and nothing showed up as failed... I'm going to guess maybe pausing and fiddling with controls did it. I definitely paused a lot on that flight while trying to remember where different buttons were.
