Funny how OP mentions the racist stuff the democrats done, wait till you see who the guys in the white hoods are. And still are. Personally tired of the agenda being shoved into almost every western game/show/film/etc which at the same time get's protected by people who feverishly defend every awful product because of it. Always some lame knee-jerk reaction like "hurr durr you racist!" without fully understanding what is going on. Ironicly they fanatically support hating an entire race because a small tribe of ultra wealthy "bankers" told them so. Then again pointing it out to them is pointless as questioning anything mainstream is taboo these days
I am quite positive I have a hell of a lot more native american blood in my veins then you do... But I agree with the OP here....
This stuff is not needed its pointless, how about we just teach people accurate History not made up BS too make people feel better....
For example Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday not some evil remembrance of genocide.
Most people have forgotten why Thanksgiving even exists and are spitting in the face of the man they so often hold in high regard. Abraham Lincoln, is the President who created Thanksgiving he wanted to point to a time in history when two different peoples worked together in peace and harmony.
The time Abraham Lincoln wanted to point out was 200 Years before he was born. Just like today Abraham Lincoln is 200 Years before we were born.... Abraham Lincoln and his generation understood the great feat the pilgrims and the Samoset and Wampanoag Indians accomplished. The ability for very different peoples to help each other. Learn from each other and trade with each other....
Why did Lincoln want this holiday because the country was split after a bloody civil war and he wanted to point to that time in history to inspire people of the day. That way back then those two different people were able to work together. Thats the Point of Thanksgiving and for some reason the Crazy Left and Woke want to tear apart that message.
As with everything else they want to paint the false picture labeling one group as Bad and another group as good. But history is not black and white, natives were not the Good Guys and the European Colonizers "Leftist Label" were not the bad guys either.
Were their bad European Immigrants? Yes
Were their bad Native Americans? YES
History is Not Black and White its not good and evil it can be summed up into such a neat little box....
Its obvious a HUGE number of people have slept thru history class and never learned the real story about how this great MELTING POT of people INCLUDING native american's came to be....
Most every native american of the day could have choose to become an american citizen with full rights and citizenship they were considered well above Black's in station in that regard.
The reason that so many american's today have some sliver of native american blood is because they were welcomed into society....
Is it true that the US government screwed over several Native Tribes? YEP
However its also true that our own Modern Day US Government is acting like Tyrannical Fascist Dictators and are destroying our Republic... So the government screwing up is nothing new to see....
Just because Joe Biden is an Idiot doesn't make me a Evil Person. I certainly didn't vote for him....
The same can be said for most american's back in the day when the US Government was failing to honor its agreements with the reservations. That's called history go learn it....
But pointing out how brave you are for having native american's inside of a video game is not impressive its frankly disgusting, just put the native american characters into the game and then shut up you don't need to brag about how amazingly woke you are....
Just do it because it was the right thing to do and zip your pie hole....
Additionally, I want to point out that the game itself is actually very good. Is it perfectly historically accurate? NOPE Do I care? NOPE Why because its fun.....
But what I do care about is the stupidity of this pointless marketing pitch that doesn't actually inspire your game to sell to the largest audience its pointlessly pissing off a large portion of your audience and for what reason? Your a company that likes to make less money??? Get rid of this pointless bragging their was no need to beat your chest about simply doing the right thing because its obvious that you did the right thing for the WRONG reasons.... Had you put in native american characters and said nothing.... This game would be nothing but a smash hit.... But you had to pointlessly beat your chest and claim some moral high ground that in the end only lost you sales....

However, what is true is that the USA wouldn't likely exist if it weren't for French assistance during the Revolutionary War. So if you really want to cling to the jingoistic battle cry of "we saved your butts in WW2!" then I guess we can call it even.
All though I can understand people getting that impression from the quote you shown from the store page and that most likely should of been worded better but at least from my limited experience playing the game I have not seen any shaming or preaching going on. If the topic is still raging when I have played a bit more I may stop back with a different opinion.
No I don't mind playing the game and having it represent some Native American point of views in the story line as long as I am not feeling force fed an agenda and I can say at least so far I don't feel like that is happening. Anyway other than that one quote I wonder if anyone has any in depth thoughts or examples of what they experienced actually playing the game?
Anyway you seem a little bit edgy I would suggest relaxing a little bit anyway because you are hurting your cause more than helping it. You can have the right opinion and still look very stupid presenting it. I really wish people could understand that.

My possible purchase will be partially decided on this because you have mirrored my feelings. I am all for diversity and etc but not when it's preachy/virtue signaling/ history revising nonsense.
Yeah, pretty lame IMO.
Not to go off topic that much, but I was surprised by the amount of side content other than the main trail missions that exist. It's kind of nice to have those kinds of things mixed in with everything. Gives me a feeling of more variety then what I thought originally comes with the game.
This is a ridiculously hostile comment to an extremely mild statement. Europeans coming onto this continent WAS harmful to Native Americans. The fact that indigenous people warred with each other, often traded with Europeans, and intermarried with them, is irrelevant to that fact. And it has to be noted that nobody was actually casting blame for diseases, although it is absolutely NOT as simple as "nobody can be blamed for that."
For someone who is trying to insinuate that this "woke nonsense" is ahistorical, you sure don't seem to know much about American history...because you reveal yourself in trying to set the blame on Democrats. Because Democrats did not exist when Europeans first arrived to the Americas, and even after the Democratic party did come into existence, the fact remains that white people of ALL political persuasions, official and otherwise, held racist beliefs and enacted damaging policies toward American Indians.
