Call of Duty MW2? Doesn't have RT, disappointingly.
AMID EVIL
Forza Horizon 5
Metro Exodus
Control
Fortnite BR (Lumen is a form of open-source raytracing that also works on AMD. It also has a functioning RTX that didnt impact my performance.)
Battlefield 5
DOOM Eternal
Minecraft
Cyberpunk 2077
Spider-Man when it got ported to PC.
Don't let the terribly optimized Portal RTX remake sway you. Idk who at Nvidia was handling this game, but they didn't optimize it for crap and did a sloppy, unprofessional, weak, mediocre job. The team handling PortalRTX definitely are all new rookies.
If you want to fix performance (I get 144 fps on a 3080), press CTRL+X and turn off the new textures/models. The FPS skyrockets, while keeping Raytracing, and fixes the art-style of the game. Best alternative until someone mods it. The new textures/models are bad anyway.
Or, alternatively, put DLSS to Performance or Super Performance. You'll get muddier looks and some pixels, but the game looks perfectly fine still.
No, he didn't. He said 'call of duty, warzone'.
Wow, what an ignorant statement. When I first got my 2080 Super RTX wasn't offered by many games. Two years later and I have an entire library of games that support it and look amazing.
No one is forcing you to buy a ray tracing card and no one is forcing you to play games with ray tracing. I don't understand why you feel the need to bash it.
I have dabbled in animation/3D rendering as a hobby for about 14 years. I remember when the Cycles rendering engine for Blender 3D was released it was absolutely game-changing. Being able to go from faking light sources and interactions to using actual path/ray tracing was - and still is - huge. A good artist can definitely produce an image/animation that looks like it was ray traced, but it takes time and technique. Ray tracing takes all of the guesswork out of it and can be done much more quickly.
just imagine that people who say such things, are simply trolling or trying to get reactions out of people, because there is no way they're actually that ignorant.
Tell yourself that, imagine it, ignore those people.
If you take it seriously, you'll go into deep depression.
that being said, it's obvious just how far we've come with DLSS and FSR, and how we can improve aliasing while also improving performance, it's like having a cake, and eating it, too.
I used to love PhysX when it was still new, playing Mirror's Edge blew my mind and i couldn't imagine disabling that effect, no matter how hard it hit my hardware at the time.
Now, many years later, seeing Ray Tracing and where it's headed, is again, blowing my mind.
I love it, and i will never disable it for any game, ever.
Same with HDR at 4K.
If you set it right for every game that supports it -and it does take time to configure-
then you will notice it, and you won't ever want to turn it off again (if implemented correctly).
It's okay if some don't see those features, as long as you can appreciate it, and enjoy it.
with all of that out of the way, Portal RTX does not look very nice, in spite of being such a heavy hit on performance.
I'm rather disappointed, but then again i never really liked the source engine for a plethora of reasons (i do appreciate the good things it brought to the table, though).
Don't let last gen's hardware convince you, that you know anything about how to optimize games, or what it takes to mathematically compute simulated light from any angle at any time in real time.
Oh my. You'd argue with your own shadow huh?
what about a 4090 you expert?
there are no excuses to be made here, Portal RTX runs like dogpoop, while also looking like dogpoop.
