Yeah, no. This is trash.
It's a cold day in hell when I have more hope that Microsoft will put AoE devs to work expanding SC2 content like they do for AoE2DE than I have hope this game will be any good at all. Plus, F2P online only? Cursed from the get go.

The entire flow of the game is terrible, pathfinding is pretty bad, there's nothing explaining any mechanics ingame either. White health? Is that a shield? Why is it called something so generic?

Surprise surprise, finished game feels better than unfinished demo/alpha...When will people notice that literally we didnt even saw half the content for the factions. Almost everything is placeholder still too

No, it was not like this in Warcraft either. Warcraft was slower but the unit control was equally great as in Starcraft, although they felt more weightful but not clunky at all and gave its own charm and micro potential. I still play custom campaigns and maps in it nowadays for that very reason. Starcraft competitive and stuff bores me cause its no depth since no heroes or as much micro with the units, coop mode is fun though.

Anyway what im trying to tell you is that its silly and not fair to compare a finished product to a literally alpha product.

Check out Starcrafts dev compilation video where they show 2 armies clash across like 100 versions or so, looks also super bad/clunky at the beginning.
Oh, it's an alpha now? Strange, I could have SWORN this was a beta. Then again, almost every game that's been a "beta" in the past decade and a half has been a completed product that's simply labeled as a beta to sell copies of what "could be". Unfortunately what "could be" never gets delivered because who wants to completely overhaul a game they already completed?

This isn't an alpha, they're not testing for alpha issues. It's a beta - they're testing for bugs. Unfortunately people like you drank the cool-aid and think that the term "Beta" means the same as early access. AKA something where the devs might actually be willing to overhaul the entire game (scrapping years of development in the process) because the entire thing is crap. It's not happening; if you think the devs for this are going to do what No Man's Sky had to do in order to fix this pile of crap then you're out of touch with reality.

Beta?! What? Its a DEMO, they fixed the server 10 times now over the last week or more often. It is literally alpha and it is testing for that too and almost everything is missing and a placeholder - how can that EVER look like a beeta to you? The only one out of touch is you by far.

So you went from it's an alpha not a beta to it's a demo not a beta? You clearly don't have the slightest idea what any of these terms mean. The appropriate order is: Alpha -> Beta -> Gamma -> Demo.

Saying it's a demo just makes your case worse not better. At least when you were claiming an alpha you had a somewhat valid excuse for the terrible state it's in; now that you're claiming it's a DEMO that means it's almost strictly promotional and will be ready for sale soon.

Seriously... Educate yourself a bit here.

I was planning on making a video breaking down why this game is so awful, but it's such a shallow puddle that I'd spend much more time on showing SC2/WC3 footage than showing this actual game. I can't bring myself to even bother.
Dude thats actually kinda funny, cuz i have same feelings but when i want to write a post about pros and cons. Then i realise how many things is wrong and i just CBA doing anything... im like "nope, not even worth my time, let this ship sink"

I just hope so. I just wonder how the campaign will looks like with this unitmovement and pathing it has actually. Like i said my fear is, they actually messing it up with early access. I mean with the first campaign most units and pathing has to be set in stone right? Like when SC2 came out with WoL nothing really changed much since now. Unitspathing and Units were godlike and basically the same since 2010. Marines and Zerglings still feel the same for example. Stormgateunits have to change dramatically, because actually it's just a clunky clumpfest i'm playing at. :D Like idk how i can basically micro in this game, while any units bodyblocks me. Idk how they did this in SC2, but mass Ling/Bane/Hydra for example feels so much better and smoother to play than here. Like i basically can pick a hydra and easily move him in the back if i want, while magnadons or hellborns just stuck between my own units. Maybe this was so in WC3, but i can't remember anymore.

Well for me it's just weird, that there are starting s tournament of 10.000€ while the game is basically like this now. If there shown us half of the content now and hiding back the final product now, it gives players a wrong perspective of the game. Idk if that's good or not. If they are not hiding back anything now, I'm just curious how they make it so, that the game doesn't feel completly in Early Access at release in a couple of months. 6 months until this is basically nothing. Like I said the campaign itself and the untipathing have to be top notch until than. Imagine you played WoL with a bad Unitpathing and Units. The Coremechanics of the Game has to be set in stone until than and than it's time to work on the balance of the game in Multiplayer., getting stuff for coop and a second campaign. Sorry I don't hate the game, but I'm just curious. It has to be really interesting for me to play it constantly or i propably play SC2 again, even if they want the game growing up with the community until it's getting out of early access in maybe 2 more years. I just wonder how many people seriously will stick to a unfinished product, while they basically could play a better and finished RTS in the meanwhile in 1vs1.
I think early access can work in games like baldursgate 3 or something, were you have no competition online.

It's just so bland. It's like why Civvie11 refuses to review TNT: Evilution from Final Doom. Boring slog with nothing interesting to talk about.
Anyone saying this is the next level of RTS, revolutionary, or anything except a mammoth disappointment needs to give their head a shake.

It literally feels just like a bad mod of SC2, nothing more.

Frost Giant should be ashamed that this is what they've been hyping people up over.

You want to know how you know that this game is dead on arrival? The most popular people streaming this game are Tasteless and Artosis, look at their viewership numbers.

Less than 25,000 people globally actually want this game. Moreover no one wants to watch some jaded angry mid-40s people play a game. Has anyone ever actually tried to watch an Artosis stream in the past 3 years? He sounds like a whining kid.

I mean, the only stream I watch is Scuffed Realtor, but I figure Artosis/Tasteless have skin in the game for Stormgate, which makes them really untrustworthy.
I don't want to say its trash... it just plays like war/starcraft.

If it gets a good singleplayer kampagne I'm ok with this... but I see no reason to play this in multiplayer.

In my experience the cartoon graphics tend to be what's preferable is Asia. 'Gotta cater to that Chinese and Korean Market after all...
Lol what a load of bs. Tell that to the koreans in SC2

Oohoo, you have one example of a western game made before the games market tried to latch onto the Asian market. SC2 was still tailored to Western audiences on release - your point is moot. Now, tell me, have you ever seen a Korean MMO made after 2010? They're all cartoons. Mobile Korean games? All cartoons. And Chinese and Japanese games are even *more* cartoony. Genshin Impact levels of cartoon design are the norm over there, not SC2.

Bandai Namco publishes most Fromsoft titles, Nintendo has been "for kids" for years, Sega also has a massive, wide range of artstyles within their published library. Total War isn't cartoony, for one. You're a bit dumb, eh?

What one earth are you smoking? Bandai Namco publishes way more than just Fromsoft. They Publish Tekken, Dragonball, Naruto, SAO (cringe), Digimon, Disney products, God Eater, Gundam, and Little Nightmares.

Yes, Nintendo is "kids for years", it's also for ADULTS (especially in Asia) who grew up on Nintendo and have come to love the artstyle.

Sega bought CA in 2005, they didn't make Total War or tailor it for Asian audiences, what's your point here? For every Total war game you've got a sonic game, COH3 (talk about a cartoon overhaul), Phantasy Star, Persona, Bayonetta, Valkirya, and Shenmue.

The only dumb one here is you. You cherry pick examples and claim that invalidates a trend.

Why is it you're only focused on a few publishers? We're clearly not playing the same games. Ever play a New Blood game? Most modern boomer shooters? Have you played Obsidian RPGs lately?
