Client hotfix

This client hotfix fixes the following issues:
  • Fixed an issue in which the ability Trickster could cause a unit to visually remain in place for the opponent and would block movement but was potentially not actually at that location. Trickster will now correctly make the unit stealthed and be removed from the map for the opponent. NOTE: it is possible that other effects, spells, or abilities could cause this behavior, and it should be fixed for those cases as well.
  • Fixed an issue in which the spell Fairy Dust would not show a visual effect when cast on a location that did not have an champion occupying it
  • Fixed a few cases of incorrect or missing combat logs
  • Fixed some cases of incorrect descriptions
  • Added more high-resolution art for various frequently used runes based on the most used runes in the month of April

pause button yet?
I still like playing this, but without a pause button i can't really play. are they ever gonna put a pause button in? Cause i've never found one.

  • Added a button below the rune dock to use Shrine Scry on your turn.
Artwork & Effects
  • Added additional high resolution artwork for commonly used runes
Rules Text & Combat Log
  • Added some missing combat logs
  • Various rules text tweaks and improvements

Game Mechanics
  • Initial rune draw for 1v1 player vs player matches is now 10 (was 8)
  • Shrine Scry now does 6 damage to your shrine on use (was 7)
  • Custom 1v1 player vs player games now have a rune draw of 1 and include Shrine Scry and Fortify on player shrines

For this month's patch, we are continuing work on improving user interface and making further balance changes.

Client

User Interface
  • Added additional UI for showing the path a champion will take when moving. This can be disabled in options if you prefer the original UI.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the space under the mouse cursor or controller position to not show a highlighted location when a unit was selected.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause ability activations to not show up in some cases when playing skirmish matches against bots

Sounds and Effects
  • Added additional sounds for a few abilities

Game Mechanics

Matched Play
  • The number of runes revealed per turn is now 1 for ranked 1v1 matches
  • In ranked 1v1 matches, the ability Shrine Scry is now available on Shrines and has the effect of: Your shrine loses 7 HP and one of your runes is revealed. (CD1)
  • In ranked 1v1 matches, the ability Fortify is now available on Shrines and has the effect of: For 2 turns, all damage dealt to your shrine is prevented. (CD10)
  • These changes will be added to bot matches and custom matches at a later date (didn't make patch)

Games like Poxnora ?
Hi, Let's be honnest, Poxnora gameplay and AD is amazing. This game with better interface, more players and a little increased graphics could be amazing. I love this game but there is no more players (mostly veterans only). Anybody knows Poxnora-like games ? I mean, even games outside of Steam. Thanks :)...

Fav Faction and/or race?
I bounce around between all the factions personally. Although, I do often find myself leaning more towards Sundered Lands. They have really good equipment, and I really like using equipment. Plus who doesn't like Reptilians and dragons? haha. I generally play mono-faction decks cuz I min max mechanics. Like I enjoy the Savage Tundra faction bonus stacking with their banner +15 Hp. It's pretty nice having dude's with 70Hp. Recently I've been testing a Dwarf/Construct deck. I had the Dwarf Marshmellow Gun...

Runes continuously changed...why ??
I had a very old account, spent some money and time on Pox and recently came back to play a little. I found most of the runes i earned or payed for, completely changed, and also they keep changing every now and then for no apparent reason. Now i understand someone in the community is managing the game to keep it alive, but seriously, you don't even care of advicing into the patch notes when you "decide" to make our hard earned runes completely worthless..??
