Added glider winch launch, selectable from location menu at airports with dedicated winch launch positions or on any runway longer than about 600m.
Added glider aerotow launch, selectable from location menu at airports with dedicated aerotow launch positions or on any runway longer than about 400m.
Added assignment for Glider-Engine, Glider Hook and "Glider Action" which tells the winch or towplane to commence the launch

Aerofly FS 4 Flight Simulator

Unable to use hands VR while flying the UH-60

All of my other aircraft my hands in VR are working normally. I have lost the use of hands using the Black Hawk Helicopter. Does anyone know why this is happening. Thanks in advance for you feedback.

fs4 wont start past opening screen

Since Saturday fs4 will not start..get to opening screen and click on any section and screen goes blank and returns to my home screen. updated to new aircraft day before and was running perfectly. Only other change has been an update to the nvidea driver. I have two computers running steam fs4 and both are giving same result. Other sims are running fine. Cant seem to find anything on line that helps. have tried few minor suggestions but hasn't helped....

Glider Update NOW AVAILABLE as Beta

We've been quite busy behind the scenes and are very happy to announce that a large glider update is now available as a Steam beta! Not only have we added two new gliders to the fleet: ASK 21 and Antares 21E but we're also adding a full physics simulation for winch launches and glider aerotows. And we've been working on a number of glider fields as well which are coming soon.

With these new features you are now able to practice your flying skills in Aerofly FS 4:

Self launch
Winch launch
Glider aerotow
Gravity launch (Lukla? :D)
Start in the air to practice outlandings
Start on final approach for landing practices
Simulated engine failure and landing with pylon extended

Dr. Gonzo's review is old and a good review for 2022. Aerofly fixed a lot and added steaming scenery with a lot of good coverage, which makes it a completely different flighsim compared to FS 2 and FS 4 from 2022. Jus enable Global Scenery.
Added since the end of 2023:
Added option to enable world-wide streaming of cultivation data, aerial images and elevation data
Added generated world wide airports around the world
Added 3D directional sounds to many aircraft

Is it VR optimized?

Is the cockpit clear in VR? I have a quest 3 and I would like to try it in VR... I already have fs2020 and xplane 12 but they are badly optimized in VR

I don't see the new gliders on my aircrafts list.

Hi, PC VR user here. There is a new beta update with some new gliders but I don't see them. On the beta options I see 4 choices : -none -stable_v41010x0x stable channel for version 4.01.xx.xx -steamdeck_test - Steam deck experimental -beta_v404xxxx - beta channel for Version 4.04.xx.xx there is no date associated to those choices but apparently the last one is the most recent. The only beta I haven't tried is the steamdeck None of the options I have tried gives the new gliders. There is also a private ...

The smoother VR experience there is! Yes MSFS is more beautiful in flat screen, but in vr nothing beat Aerofly FS 4 for a smooth and immersive experience!
