Yeah sorry but that's not how this works. Of 150M switches, only an insignificant fraction of that would get the game. There are more than 130M steam users (not PC mind you, which would be counted in billions instead) but the best selling games of ALL time have only half of those sales. It can takes months to port the game to switch if not more. Studio actively loses money during that time. Making games is VERY costly and could easily cost them more than they would earn from thousands of sales, which is a much more realistic number than 150M.
Assuming everyone buys the game full price which would not happen in reality, they would not even earn a million. Hell, it might not even make it past 5 digits. Think a million is a lot? Think again. Steam takes a cut. Unity needs to be paid. The publisher usually takes a cut. The governement takes a cut. The employees need to be paid. Other software and such needs to be paid. And more. Each of those things can each easily cut down the profits by 10~30%.
Let's say for a year of work, that ends up earning you 10k to 20K if you have a bad year, are you gonna make do with that?
What this studio would actually earn, neither of us have any idea, it all depends on who they hire, how much they pay them, what tools and software they use, the cost of their technology, artistic direction, gameplay style, etc... Meaning only them can decide whether it's worth it or not, but what's for sure it's that it's not a "no brainer".
