Our Dying World 0.8.3 Released.

This update aims to fix a few lingering bugs and add a new quality of life system.

General Changes:

- New "Final Stand" feature. When your party gets wiped when you have reserve members, the reserve members take their spot to finish the fight. If victory is achieved, all party members still get EXP.

- Monitors that run above 60fps now sync better with the game.

- Slight improvements to a few maps.

- Improved backlog feature to more accurately play voice lines.

- Enabled battle voice lines by default for first-time players.

Bug Fixes:

- Fixed enemies not disappearing when killed.

- Fixed typos and capitalization issues.

- Fixed death lines playing twice.

- Fixed party members not saying victory lines.

The game isn't available in Germany

Judging by what I saw on other platforms, this game looks promising. Right now, though, it seems the game won't be available in Germany. If you heed the German youth protection regulations and the standards of the USK ("Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle"), it should be possible to release the game in Germany, too. Our Dying World 0.8.2 Released.

This fixes more bugs and introduces a lot of QOL features for our upcoming 1.0 release.

General Changes

- Added a new backlog system that plays voice lines. (Old saves are not compatible)

- Added an option to turn down battle lines or disable them completely

- BP is now visible when swapping between characters

- Removed the delay between selecting characters in the main menu

- Increased guarding HP gain from 2% to 5%

- Fixed the selection arrow not disappearing when selecting an ally

- Enemy animations are now affected by battle speed in the options menu

- Fixed characters not saying battle lines upon victory

- Fixed an issue when scrolling between selected characters

- Fixed tiling issues

- Fixed typos

Act 1:

- Updated Aria NPC dialogue

- Slightly changed quest rewards

- Greed's battle music now loops properly

Act 2:

- Updated Wrath's recovery skill

- Updated Chapter 5 enemies' shields, damage, health, skills, and experience drops.

Our Dying World 0.8.1 Released.

This fixes a lot of small bugs from our big 0.8.0 and changes a few systems.

General Changes

- Added Steam Cloud saves

- Updated Max's shirt on his artwork to reflect its accurate white color.

- Fixed several typos and capitalization.

- Updated Rina's single-target healing skill.

- Fixed Ryker's cover skill not requiring TP.

- Fixed incorrect recipe for water stones.

- Fixed level-up screen not showing your new skill if you've leveled up more than once.

- Added version number to the title screen.

- Fixed endgame choices looping the previous cutscene.

Act 1:

- Updated spa art of the boys.

- Updated the Golem Fight art.

- Chapter 1 enemies will no longer crit.

- Slightly increased Artificial Golem health.

- Elite Hornets no longer use the "Wing Cleaning" skill.

- Fixed barrel morphing issue.

- Adjusted camera angle in the starting cutscene.

- Fixed compass showing up too early.

Act 2:

- Act 2 is now sprinkled with lore books to find.

- Updated the Max's Eyes art.

- Nerfed the effectiveness of boost items.

- Added a waypoint for The Emperor fight.

- The Emperor can now remove negative status effects.

- Fixed The Emperor battlebacks not correctly showing on certain skills.

- Increased the difficulty of The Flower fight.

- Fixed Circe showing up where she shouldn't be.

- Removed the victory screen on the final fight.

- Fixed chests duplicating in the final dungeon

- Fixed "party members" showing up where they shouldn't be.

- The final arena fight is now correctly, nearly impossible. Good luck : )

I'm the first to post. Yay! :-) I gave your demo a try and really enjoyed the game! Oh, and I made a game called Tales of Yuria. We use the same title music haha That's such a great song! Shopkeeper: "Would you like to buy some star dust or herbs?" Max: "No thanks. I'll just steal them from your pots." :-P Anyway... ***THE GOOD*** -VOICE ACTING! YES! Plus it's actually good, too. ODW Opening Screen Freeze Fix

Hey everyone, TheRealTron here, developer for Our Dying World. Some of you may be experiencing a bug with the opening screen of the game. If this happens there are two ways to fix it. 1. Press esc, this will automatically close it and take you to the title screen, but this isn't a permanent fix. 2. Reinstall the demo. So far this seems to fix the issue every time, but if this also fails, pressing esc still works. We're currently looking more into the bug to find out why it's only happening on steam, bu...

Demo (Chap1-3)

Had some time to finally play the demo of this! Fantastic job so far, loved the voice acted characters and their interactions with the other characters of the world. Enjoyed exploring this world as there is no world map and so many places to go and visit not part of the main story line. Not too many side quests and they were not intrusive. Some could even be done while trying to do the main story. The legendary side bosses added a lot to the exploring and the completionist in me just HAD to beat them all...
