Darn, I hope that changes soon, it's such a great version that deserves to be on PC like Sonic CD. Thanks anyway!
Sonic 1 even gets a seventh Chaos Emerald~
Maybe they will for the 30th anniversary since this port was released in 2011 for the 20th anniversary. Hopefully that's the case.
Ooh - maybe! :D
I thought the reason we got Sonic CD's Christian port was because they lost the documentation to the Mega CD and how to handle or port its code or something.

Since the Mega Drive ports of Sonic 1 & 2 could and had been ported before, it made sense to use them instead. That said, I like the Christian ports better, especially as Sonic 2 has Hidden Palace Zone (still missing Genocide City sadly) with an AOSTH reference as the boss background. Not to mention the Steam version of Sonic 2 MD glitches out the ending music when it cuts to Sonic re-entering the atmosphere, making it slow down and go way out of sync.
Sega pretends to be a fan-friendly company, but just because it has cool PR people like Aaron Webber who frequently interacts with the community, it really isnt.
Really want the enhanced Sonics 1 and 2 stand-alone in my Sonic category. D:
At least its easy to emulate android on pc I guess.
Are there even any mods for 1 and 2 that give them 60fps like Sonic 3 has A.I.R?
The special stages in sonic 2 on mobile are so good going back to the old low framerate versions is painful.
SEGA: Do you guys not have phones?
Some of us might want it on something that doesn't use a small screen.
I personally want it in my Steam library alongside my other Sonic games, and on PC so I can file away completed save files like I do with other games.
