Is there a guide for using the GPS?
Looking out there if anyone has made a guide on how to use the GPS? Is there a certain spot to put it on the equipment? Trying to improve my Dozer Skills!

GPS is useless untill they do more its not auto lvl like in real life its just a guide to help stay lvl absolute Useless untill they make digging better and give bulldozers some weight instead of just bouncing on the smallest dirt mound

Right now i would consider it " Grade Control" not GPS . yes the Dozers need work but the "GPS" has its use. If you have ever run a Dozer in real life you would know they can have different stages of grade control being considered 2D and 3D applications if any at all. This is a simulation not an arcade you have to have a certain level of real world knowledge or experience running equipment to be successful i.e working off grade benches and understanding how to cut grade. if you use it for what its intended for right now it works fine its just simply because its named "GPS" in game everyone expects its going to just auto grade for you. If you have ever run a 2D assisted machine and a 3D assisted machine IRL you will have a better understanding on how to use it. Again this is a simulator made by and for actual equipment operators. MOST of the people complaining don't have any idea how to actually use the equipment properly in real life and only have used them in a game so its an unfair comparison when this is trying to simulate a real world experience within the limits of a video game. Everything still needs work but its not as bad as people think IMO just inexperience in the industry and lack of understanding

but to answer your question , place the GPS on any slot on the Dozer ( where lights would go) then you will see a window on the bottom left in reference to your machine and the grade you are on. when you lift lower and angle the blade you can see it changes the number on your GPS screen. Best way to use it would be to find an area you would like to set as a " bench" then go into the inventory and you will be able to move your cursor and click the "zero" option in the window this will zero out the GPS to that level so where ever you move and cut you can see the height difference in reference to your zeroed area. Now this does not mean it will automatically hold that grade while moving you will have to watch the numbers and maintain up or down to stay within grade moving slowly helps with this. Its based off of a real life system that works similar, so looking up some videos on 2D Dozer grading vs 3D Dozer grading will give you a better idea of how its supposed to be used. its good for making roads or big pads for concrete and such in game or grading massive areas that you want to be flat and is a good way to verify over a long distance for making floors and things
