Dozer mechanics?
Anyone able to actually use their Dozer? I sure could use some tips on it. I gave up on my Dozer and parked it, all it does is cause damage to my site. It is impossible to push dirt with it, it only causes gouges all over the place. Even when parking it, and just dropping the blade to rest on the ground to put the Dozer in park, and the ground explodes and digs a big hole, and it's not even Moving! Terrible
Thanks

The dozer has always been broken. Before the big update it used to slide around the ground like it was on ice and not "bite" into the dirt. Now it just makes holes and piles of random dirt clumps. Useless. It needs serious work. I'll check it again in about 6 months :-(

Well good to know it's not just me, I'm sure they are aware and will get to it at some point, I'll just leave it for a while. Thanks for the reply.

deploy Dozer on flattened soil, lift the shovel before doing anything else (perhaps rebind to a key-combo intead of mouse control for the sideway rotor controls), then drive backwards for a bit - say one dozer length...
helped me heaps with the DX1000 or whatever it is called... was able to make some nice straight roads with it... going slow seems to help too
it´s quite tricky, ngl, but it "works"

:steamhappy: i just wish they would just stop sliding every where lol

came here to ask this question. Its broken as all hell. Randomly dumps dirt on flat roads and spawns magic dirt. I dont think it registers changes to flattened dirt by compactors ect Blade clearance from the ground needs rework at max height at the bare minimum

yes the dozer can slide around. Are you on a hill? but it's awesome for dumping dirt into the conveyors. No need for a dump truck / loader

dont know what dozer you're using but it sounds nothing like the ones in game. Pushing dirt clumps together and buries conveyors and hoppers. Does not collect a thing. The blades are magic, they spawn dirt where ever they want even though its carrying nothing and at full height off the ground with nothing touching it and no load.

30 seconds in my dozer took 1 hour in my loader to fix the mess it made. Dozer is a mess, dirt animations are a mess too, hoppers remain empty after a load is, well not poured not dropped more like a trickle then a lump that disappears in mid air.

i have talked with the devs about the issues with the dozers and christian said they are aware that at this point the dozers are useless. fixing them is high priority item while still working on everything else as well.

I still use it for the 1st layer to get rid of everything (trees, grass, etc) so it doesn't bother me much, if parts get "deleted".

For the rest, to receive a nice flat surface, I use the wheeled loader and after that compact the ground, gives a sweet clean surface
