Should call this game out of gold been on the tutorial for just under 1hr digging dirt and no gold

You get gold from paydirt, you need to send it through a washer to get gold and other high value items. You can set up a line of processing buildings to process more or you can get a pickaxe and do some by hand. Just build a washplant workbench and put paydirt into it. paydirt is lighter in colour than normal dirt. In the tutorial map the paydirt is exposed in the open pit beside the coal

I tried the tutorial just now and it seems bugged, I was at the pint where it tells you to sell iron ore you mined with the pickaxe. It didn't register the sell and so became stuck.

IMHO the tutorial was a bit lacking. Best thing to do is watch yt and get advise here.
