Tips on Making Money?

Hi, so I didnt know how much of a loan I needed in the beginning so I took out a $1 mil loan. It sucks, its costing me $25k a day and so far Ive only made $28k. Any tips to increase the profits early in the game?

There is a coal patch at our site and Im digging it out, but its just far too slow. There is no way Ill be able to progress the game if Im only making enough to pay daily. Any tips would help. Currently I have a loader and a dump truck.

Are you mining the coal to the left of the helipad? I've ignored that one and mined out the lithium to the right. You can get upwards of $30k per loader bucket from there. You don't really need a dumptruck until you move further away. A dozer is more useful to make the lithium more accessible since it goes kinda deep.

After mining that source out, I bulldozed a road a few hundred metres in this direction to 2 more lithium sources, one of which appears to be massive, but I've only just scratched the surface of that one.

Thank you soo much!! Yes Im mining the one by the pad to the left. Its really hard to see the lithium you are mining. But tomorrow Ill try to dig down there and start making some money.

No worries mate :) At first I just kept trying to dig down with the loader, but would get stuck often or tip over and didn't really know how deep the vein went at first. It definitely pays to prepare the area around the vein a little and attack it from the side.

My road is a little steep, but I made a flat area with the dozer just below the screenshot to manoeuvre in and out easier.

I tried using an excavator/dumptruck combo, but can't really get a handle on the controls very well.

I also used multiple 200k and 100k loans just for the equipment I needed and started with the cheapest loader originally to minimise the daily costs before upgrading to the 500k loader in the screenshot.

Yea, I just wish it told me how much of a loan to take out. I thought it was going to ask me to buy multiple things so I took out a big loan. I think Ill buy a dozer and start making a gradient down.

I dont know exactly where you are Sedition but I got a bulldozer and spent an hour digging a huge hole into the ground. STill cant find it. Its really hard to see the colour of lithium as well. I did a test bucket at the bottom and still getting barely any money.

all you need to do is look for the ground color is darker where there is any ore just walk over it and place a tnt and see whats there lol

I found some darker material on the right side along the end of a ledge. It pays much better than the coal. Still couldnt find the lithium.

The initial vein should keep going to the right. I probably dug out the left side too much as I was messing around seeing if I could build a tunnel, but have dumped a bunch of dirt in the hole since then.

Thank you sir! I finally found this vein. It was darker coloured material right at the edge of the dirt and grass. Its thin but from your screen seems like a lot. I started new yesterday, dug a little out and made quick $400k to pay off my loan. Now Im on the hunt to find the next big deposit. I watched splitintwo but cant find his spot. Im gonna use a gps tracker and see what it does.

Glad it worked out! It took a bit of work dozing and flattening to get to, but the price of lithium makes it worthwhile.

Splitintwo is mining the same area down the road I posted in my 2nd screenshot originally.

There's this smallish vein, but it's mostly lithium with some coal mixed in, so worth mining too.

It will take awhile to bulldoze a road that wide and the open area, so it's probably best to just bulldoze a single road to the first vein, then alternate between widening the road/preparing the 2nd spot and mining lithium to break up the monotony and bring in some cash.

Thank you! Ill try to look for the second pic so I can start the mine there. I wish there was an actual GPS where you got coordinates. So when you did go exploring, you could note them down or set a waypoint. I really thought there was a boring machine like in Gold Rush where you could sample the soil beneath. But I guess not :(

The lithium deposit on to of the hill about 400m W of the base is way more than $ 4.000.000. With 0.6 i set up a new save and still digging that side and made around 8.000.000.
