Secret Rooms?
Hi.
Found my first secret room and decided to google for tips. Not much to go on. The one I discovered was opened by a golden button on a pillar. Had no description but it was fairly obvious. Googling I got results regarding pots that once broken create vine bridges, plungers mainly, none of which I found so far. So my question is:
Anyone encountered any other way of opening secret rooms that are less than obvious?
Thanks.

I've broken an Urn too, which opened up a path. I guess most of them are like this.

I usually break everything that pops up. I even break torches and lamp posts, crystals in mines even before i noticed the chance of getting socketables.

There are some walls you can destroy and it leads to a secret room, but I think that's in a specific dungeon that I can't be bothered to remember, but it was act 3 I believe

vine bridges extending, destroying objects, activating items like using a detonator to destroy a rock wall, lighting all torches, clickable picture-frames or tablets on walls or simply by walking into the secret room which is open but hidden.

Marked by anything in particular?

Same as the room with the first Robot Part?
Don't think I missed any of those so far even though I'm lvl 20 and found just 1 secret room that actually registered as such.

I got to Act 3 (playing on hard) and so far I still didn't get the secret room achievement... :-/ It's strange cause I keep breaking everything I encounter, I even once or twice found a switch that opened a wall and there was a room with loot inside (I'd say it looks pretty 'secret' to me), but the game didn't give me the achievement :-(.

So what exactly is a secret room in this game? Cause it clearly isn't just a place that's not visible on a map and behind a wall as I've been there already.

There are actually 3 secret rooms in the first gardian dungen alone (the one you fight the general in) Spoiler: One is in a urn the other is a path behind some pillars that look like you can't get around , and the last is actually a branch off of another secret room, so secret with in a secret.

This map type, I don't remember the name, from Mapworks, has loads of secret rooms:

They're always in Urns that are next to these people. Hitting them causes branches to extend. I've had up to 4 in a single floor. You'll get plenty of opportunities once you start playing custom maps.

I noticed though with that one sometimes the room will generate and other times it won't. For my engie I did'nt get it at all but for my embermage I got it.

Interesting.. I wonder if the algorithm or whatever takes into account what type your playing.. ie some room s can only be found by playing a certain style.. Or is it just that some maps get generated and theres no room for the room

It's randomly generated. I just keep buying maps from the map vendor and going through the same type. 0 to 4 are randomly generated depending on the layout.

Just to keep at least one post going on this topic:
I've seen the vase/vines secret room in the regent map and others of its kind
In the Ezrohir ruins secret rooms are opened by a small lever which is easy to miss
In crypts there is a secret room which is located when there is a statue in the wall carrying a bowl, an empty bowl. You do something either with the statue or with the bowl.
In one type of dungeon there is another wall switch.
Later on in act 3 there is a let's say fortress type of dungeon which has two kinds of secret rooms, one opened by hidden switches.
Obviously most switches are not marked which is why you may miss them.
If i missed anything please comment.
I'd be nice to add in easter eggs and small secrets as well.
