Forges of Corruption Secrets
Secrets gang, where you at?

Just spent over an hour on the first level, and I swear to god I've rubbed up against just about every single wall and combed every single bit of the level. 100% kills, but only 5/8 secrets.

Edit: Mission accomplished lads. Excellent work. All secrets have been found. All we need is a definitive guide to find them all.

I feel like there has to be another one in the last arena or the sewer canals before it.
I can't for the life of me find a servo skull though.

turning off those 3 consoles in the red key room does something no idea what.
In the first purge area there's an already-open container that has a vortex grenade immediately next to the area where you fall down into that arena.

Oh lol. Thank you.

100% Secrets for Level 5 on Exterminatus is nearly impossible lmao
The sheer insanity of that arena makes it close to impossible to actually track them all down and then stand still to shoot the servos without getting ripped into

I know it's not a "secret" but IMO the best way to beat the final level on Exterminatus is to bring a Vortex Grenade from a previous level, immediately DPS down the Great Unclean One that spawns just to the left of the entrance with the Multi-Melta + Vortex, go grab the Krak Missile upgrade and a Machine-Spirit Plasma Gun, then Vortex/Melta/Plasma the Lord of Change before just running around like a madman and taking potshots at the crystals with the Krak Missile until you win. It is SUICIDE to actually try to fight the enemies spawning; they're too tanky and there's too many of them. If you stop moving for even a second you get buried by Blue Horrors and Nurglings that bodyblock you. I counted at LEAST two Blight Drones, two Plague Toads, multiple Terminators, and two melee Helbrutes. As long as you don't shoot them back, most of them are likely to start infighting with somebody because there's so many bullets zipping towards you they hit anything remotely near you.

Just finished 100%ing the game again. Just in time for the Elden Ring DLC too!

Overall in this thread we have all the secrets. I got the achievement myself; found nothing new that wasn't already here. Great community teamwork!

Now somebody just needs to put it together into a guide or video series.

Well, pagb666 seems to be doing that. He just uploded the video for level 1 on his YT channel.
Btw. how hard is the horde mode on highest difficulty?

Let's just say you'll end up spamming the Grav Cannon.

A lot.

That starting hallway can be used to cheese a chunk of the level due to the fact that only melee enemies seemed to be able enter on my run (screamers, champions, blue horrors, etc). The rest will walk around outside. If you run out and kill the Great Unclean One first, then hide in the hallway the Lord of Change will keep walking in front of the door, letting you kill him over time. The forge and the crystals are also able to be hit through the doorway, with ammo pickups letting you keep shooting until the end (melta does great damage to the forge)

If you turn auto switching off under gameplay the multi-melta has infinite ammo

It's 12 total waves. I'd say its high paced but entirely doable until around Wave 9 or so. Sh*t hits the fan after Wave 9. There is a LUDICROUS amount of high-level enemies crammed into that arena, but what makes it worse is that there's also dozens of Blue Horrors and Screamers that try to bodyblock you non-stop. If you EVER stop moving, you either lose 80% of your current health and armor or die. Every few waves it hits you with a boss. It starts with a Great Unclean One, then a Lord of of Change, before finally finishing on the Chaos Lord Sorcerer with his ungodly health pool and high toughness.

The final waves will have MULTIPLE Plague Toads, Blight Drones, and Exalted Flamers at the same time. Chaos Marines and Plasma Gun Renegades are everywhere. There aren't that many Aspiring Champions, but its such a clusterf*ck by the end that the few that do appear tend to sneak up on you, so you HAVE to blow them up or they resurrect. The Terminators tend to get stuck on the ground floor, though they do teleport around the place.

The real threat is absolutely the Blue Horrors, Screamers, and Lesser Plague Toads. Dozens of them spawn at a time and they can really badly bodyblock you, especially on staircases where you can't charge, while the sheer volume of Plague Toad puke turns half the arena into a minefield of unavoidable chip damage.

Something of note is that even if you own the DLC, Horde Mode uses only base-game enemies and weapons. So no multi-melta or rocket launcher, but also thankfully no Helbrutes.

Unlocking the Machine Spirit Plasma Gun feels mandatory. The other secrets aren't really that helpful. Two of them are just Boltgun ammo upgrades, and the final one is actually two respawning Ambulls behind a hidden wall. They make for genuinely good distractions because they're the only enemies that auto-aggro onto Chaos and vice-versa, and so they have a habit of running around the bottom floor or around the nearby staircase bulldozing through cannon fodder enemies. They don't count for the Wave Complete either, meaning you can actually have them live between rounds if you want to risk it.

I'd say the most important thing is to STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THE BOTTOM FLOOR. Once the wave starts, avoid the ground floor at absolutely all costs. Its completely overrun by Plague Toads and Blue Horrors. You want to stick to the upper levels, running a circuit around them. Kill all Screamers ASAP. They are the biggest bodyblocking threat.

There's just enough Vortex Grenades that you can use one on each major boss, so save them. The Chaos Sorcerer is BRUTAL because the room is almost literally FLOODED with enemies. He's very hard to see and teleports around a LOT.

It's also VERY IMPORTANT to note that the final wave DOES NOT END UNTIL EVERY ENEMY IS DEAD. It's not like the original final boss fight where the game ends the instant the Sorcerer dies. If you suicide bomb the Sorcerer, and then get eaten by a Plague Toad afterwards, YOU LOSE. Horde Mode doesn't end until you reach the exit door. I beat the Sorcerer with only 50HP and no armor, and immediately a Plague Toad almost ate me from the ground floor with his mile-long tongue.

Overall the only time I've ever gotten that hopped up on adrenaline was playing through Doom Eternal on Ultra Violence. It's EXTREMELY intense. If you're not particularly good at extremely fast paced FPS, you'll need several attempts to beat it.

NEVER. STOP. MOVING.

Other random tips:
- All ammo, armor and health pickups respawn, but only at the beginning of each wave. More of the shipping crates open per wave; memorize their locations because you'll end up at critical HP when Know No Fear kicks in and rushing to one ASAP is your only chance of survival.
- Gravity Gun should be saved for if you ever end up on the ground floor or if you get an Aura of Doom. If you end up on the ground its likely your only way to avoid being mosh pitted to death.
- Vengeance Launcher is actually pretty good because enemies are so clumped together.
- Heavy Bolter is your "real" default weapon, not the bolter. Not having to reload will save your life.
- Use the shotgun to clear out any big pileups of Horrors, they're pretty weak to it.
- Save your meltagun as a "F*ck you" weapon. You barely get any shots with it, but it does MASSIVE damage and penetrates enemies. If you want a staircase cleared RIGHT NOW, just meltagun it. Not stopping is more important than conserving ammo.
- Machine Spirit Plasmagun is just as good at boss-busting as it is in the basegame.
- There are so many Chaos Marines and grenade pickups you can spam grenades pretty much for free if you need to delete a pile of enemies, but make ABSOLUTELY sure you don't accidentally chuck a Vortex Grenade because you can't reload and get it back. It's gone. I did that during Wave 11 and had to do the entire Chaos Sorcerer fight without any ez delete button.
