bad level design
the developers killed their game with a design from the 90s where, in order to artificially stretch the gameplay, you had to do pixel hunting and look for a lever in the dark for 50 hours.no modern old-school shooter allows itself such a poor design

Ever played doom1-2 son? Some levels on first playthrough will have you tearing hair out figuring out where to go or where you haven't been.

Oh no, it's almost like it's borrowing from doom 64 a bit. You know, that doom game that finally saw a rerelease on PC after much adoration.
Yep, game's ruined

therefore, no one has been doing such poor game design for a long time and the only ones who will tear their hair out are the developers when most people who value their time simply won’t buy their game

Dusk is extremely overrated crap where you shoot ultra thin enemies from airgun-like enemies. Not fun at all.

You aren"t one of those guys who judge things by popularity, arent you?

If you ask casual gamer which one game he recognizes from those 2 mentioned, he will answer Doom.

It's not poor level design. It's proper level design. Not handholding. Listen man, as soon as you critique og doom your opinions are objectively invalid. What are you trying to get at here XD?

"I don't have a hud that 75% of it is direction way points and my crosshair isn't at least 30% of the screen. Poor game."

Waypoints didnt exist in Doom, Quake, Hexen etc.. you had to actually LOOK for stuff.

Have you ever played hexen or heretic¿? You´d have great fun.

Seems like somebody thought this would be an Ubisoft game or something.

Go play fortnite then?

I kinda like not having my hand held the whole time. Really tired of games that basically railroad you through levels, I miss when old games made you actually look for ♥♥♥♥ instead it just being plunked down in front of you.

Pls go play tetris, something you might be capable to play or how about hello kitty online?

It isn't even genre specific or an attempt to stretch gameplay, but yeah some of the best received games in gaming old and modern didn't handhold players. According to you those devs all killed their games when in reality these games were big hits.

Italian game journos are somehow even worse than American game journos, so I'm not surprised a smooth brain IGN style article like this came from an italian game journo lol.

"Waaah Waaah too much water!!!!" is about what is to be expected from game journos these days.
