I often read about "augmenting" a variable, but I only see one simple way to do this: by finding and installing components that carry such variable increase. The problem is: First it is completely random and uncontrollable what you find and when (really a pity but that's the Rogelike). But, secondly, when destroying that component (because of limited slots) you lose that increase. I have seen no other way in augmenting a variable so far. Did I miss something?
