Our Kickstarter for Toroa: Skycall is LIVE and we are SHOCKED to be sitting at 60% funded after only 48 HOURS 😱

Any contribution whether it's $2, sharing with your friends, or liking our posts means so much to us and any amount of generosity is so appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far <3

New Demo!

A NEW demo is LIVE for you all to play! We really wanted to make this new demo the best it could be before putting it live and we are super proud of this one 🥹 there are VERY minor polish things that we will get to fixing on Monday (NZT), but we are making sure we take the weekend to rest and enjoy as its been a very busy week and work-life balance is super important to us.

If you are playing the demo with a mouse, there is a chance you can get stuck in the interact range of a dolphin who will keep trying to talk to you even if you can't see them (lol). If this happens to you, we recommend paddling far enough away from them and then trying to take-off. This will hopefully be fixed by next week!

Kia ora. I finished the tutorial expecting to find something wrong since its still early into development but i was pleased to find nothing but a joyful game experience, i loved the use of taonga pūoro, thought the flying physics were great and over all a good demo. Can't wait to play the full version. Churrrr

Kia ora koutou! (Hello everyone!)

We are so excited and NERVOUS to share that we have been working on a Kickstarter campaign for Toroa: Skycall!

We have some really cool rewards planned as well as a NEW DEMO that will be live soon <3 We hope the demo will showcase lots of little improvements based on internal and external player feedback from Next Fest last year in October.

Why Kickstarter? Simply put, we need the money! Kickstarter funding will help us get Toroa: Skycall launch ready with us having total creative control, ensure flexible deadlines for a healthy work life balance and keep the majority of profit, wahoo! Kickstarter will also help to increase visibility for us to get porting support, localisation and quality assurance assistance.

Following the page really helps us with visibility on Kickstarter, please hit the 'notify me on launch' button to be the first to know when the campaign goes live!

You may have also noticed a slight change to the game name but don't worry! Everything about the game remains the same. 'Skycalling' is a behaviour that albatross do where they point their heads to the sky and make their unique gurgling sound. Check out the adorable video below to see it action <3

Did I do something wrong?

I guess flying sims are not for me, but getting to those first two places took ages and it looked like I was barely moving at all, with nothing of interest to look at either, and no music? I was trying to accelerate and move into the wind channels, but it didn't look like it made much of a difference....
