I'll try and check my PS4 save soon and see if it's an issue everywhere.
Also, did the calendar near Day's cell have all game dates blanked out on your game?
On PC, I haven't met any dates yet. On PS4, I've done April Fools' and April is scribbled out entirely, rest of the calendar is unmarked.
You can wait until Mother's Day and see if it still registers for your game if you want to do it legit, but otherwise I think it'd be a lot less hassle to just mess with the system clock. I haven't bothered though, so I'm not sure if you need to do a specific way to work. I saw comments elsewhere that people corrupted their saves turning back the clock too far.
My suggestion is to just follow the Calendar Man questline guide here on Steam and use the dates and year suggested there so you can get this achievement done.
Waiting for tomorrow, but I suspect the game can not detect the holiday, but as I mention, nothing that rolling back a few years can't resolve.
