Calendar Man skipping dates?
I went to talk to Calendar Man to check what the next date would be, and he keeps mentioning Independence Day. I'm not American, and I'm not entirely sure that the devs are either, but isn't this holiday in July, skipping May and June entirely?

I had the same problems with Calendar Man not acknowledging Mother's Day. In order to unlock this achievement I had to change my computer's calendar's year and date. I set it to May 13 2012 and then everything worked as normal. Sucked that I had to do that, as I was trying to obtain this achievement the legit way.

Was it today (05/08/2022) that you were unable to get Calendar Man to not acknowledge Mother's Day, or was it during a different year? I'm asking because I remember last year when I started playing the game I noticed that the exact dates to visit and talk to Calendar Man were circled on the calendar next to his cell. Then in January, 2022, I noticed that the dates were not circled anymore. That made me think that maybe 2021 was the last year it would work correctly. Either that or they just disappear if you started the Achievement on a different year. I can't remember if they were still circled or not in the next year when I played the non-GOTY version. The first murderous date I talked to Calendar Man in the GOTY version was Father's Day in 2021, and that's one of the dates that can be different depending on the year, but he acknowledged it in 2021.

Here's an update to the email I sent to WB Support. They did a great job replying so fast. This is after I turned back the clock earlier today to Mother's Day in 2014 to unlock the Achievement and sent WB Support an update. This is the response:

"Thank you for writing in. Due to the age of this title and the platforms, it's available on, there may not be future game updates, or troubleshooting options available to me might be limited. I'm glad that you are able to unlock the achievement by changing the year on your PC. WB Games Support doesn't have an exact solution for this achievement issue in Batman Arkham City, but I will pass the solution that you have done to the game team for review."

So at least there's still a way to unlock Storyteller. I was playing in online mode and changed the PC clock right outside the courthouse. So now that the Achievement unlocked, it has a legit date stamp since STEAM uses the real date/time. If you want to do it as legit as possible in 2022 or later, this might be the way. Just visit and talk to him when you're supposed to in real time, and only change the date when he doesn't acknowledge a specific date in the current year. Then change the PC clock back to real time and wait for the next real date to continue.

Are you running any mods like the Command Console or the Community Patch? I ask because not only am I also getting the date skipping, but my Character Trophies are off by one slot position. I have a blank #1 slot, Batman in the #2 slot, and all other characters off by one slot. I'm not certain at this time if it's because of the mods or something with the game.

Nope, doing this vanilla until otherwise necessary. (Not that you asked, but I'm aiming for Platinum on the remaster and don't want to give myself a hugely uneven experience with this game across platforms.) I'm at least glad that I'm not alone in suffering this, but sorry to hear that it's affecting your saves.

I'll try and check my PS4 save soon and see if it's an issue everywhere.

I both verified and patched my game, that restored the Character Trophies page to normal. Playing vanilla again from the beginning, ranking up both Batman and Catwoman before getting to the Courthouse. Will keep you posted.

Also, did the calendar near Day's cell have all game dates blanked out on your game?

So Calendar Man is babbling about Independence Day on the Return to Arkham version too, I've found out.

On PC, I haven't met any dates yet. On PS4, I've done April Fools' and April is scribbled out entirely, rest of the calendar is unmarked.

By unmarked do you mean not yet completed, or devoid of the other 11 date marks? In my game the calendar next to Day's cell is completely blank, not a single date mark on it.

The other dates are not yet completed (for me, they're the same thing, lol). It's alarming to hear that all your date marks have been removed, whatever is currently happening with this game could really mess with completionists' progress!
Well, it's May now and last time I checked, he's still blathering about Independence Day. It's disappointing, if it's actually broken now then I may as well just mess with system time for this.
A question for any Arkham City enthusiasts/experienced completionists; Is the calendar below the courthouse supposed to have the dates pre-circled to let you know when to visit?

It is normally supposed to, but mine is completely blank.
Synavix May 5, 2022 @ 2:33pm
Mine is blank on all of my different save files, even the older dated ones. I've seen people on other sites say recently that their calendars are all blank too. Might just be that the days aren't correctly programmed anymore since some of the holiday dates change year-to-year.

You can wait until Mother's Day and see if it still registers for your game if you want to do it legit, but otherwise I think it'd be a lot less hassle to just mess with the system clock. I haven't bothered though, so I'm not sure if you need to do a specific way to work. I saw comments elsewhere that people corrupted their saves turning back the clock too far.

Out of curiosity, I've been checking my game periodically to see if either Day's monologues or the calendar itself updates, or both. I do wonder if this is a temporary bug, or if the game is intentionally no longer time-synced.

If you set your calendar to a year close to this game's release date, the calendar will work as intended and will have the special dates circled. It seems like the game's glitching due to how far away we are from the release year so the calendar no longer works correctly (Mostly due to the holidays that don't have a fixed date number).

My suggestion is to just follow the Calendar Man questline guide here on Steam and use the dates and year suggested there so you can get this achievement done.

Also working on this achievement. It's still obtainable, but yeap seems the calendar at the side has become messed up, unless you rollback a few years.

Waiting for tomorrow, but I suspect the game can not detect the holiday, but as I mention, nothing that rolling back a few years can't resolve.

doesn't work for me, i tried today around midnight

Same, it's now Mother's Day as far as I can tell, but still nothing different from Calendar Man.
