Did you even the read the post? It's a F2P campaing, you can get all you need from dungeons and from clearing the Realm. You don't need to spend a cent on it. Stop mindless hating on stuff.

The point is not that the campaign can be done for free. The point is the fact that in many past campaigns, random purchases in the shop(say a skin you like) would contribute toward this campaign. Money spent on game = campaign gains. Now, you either buy the skin you like, or advance the campaign. Of course it's free and can be done for free, I'm just pointing out how their practice changed to be more greedy.

so another directly p2p only campaign for the special event of the year youre fcking over f2pers and people who just spend a little money. huge ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ move.

i don't give a ♥♥♥♥ im grinding my ass out for that beefcake knight and the hats, even if my character is unmaxed that's just how much i want that ♥♥♥♥

hey it's a free to play game, they need to be greedy sometimes
also it's not that weird for them to give the players the choice of buying the skin directly or just farm it slowly since, ya know, it makes it so that the F2P players can also farm that amazing skin (myself included)

Finally a developer who cares about this awesome game

I don't think you should hate on this event, lets take the snake pit as an example.
I would say the average realmer does 15 dungeons per hour, and stheno drops 25 points worth of campaign progress and every day is 24 hours so its 600 points and the campaign is 32 days long currently so 600 x 32 is 19,200. (These are really rough numbers so take it with salt) Not saying everyone grinds 24/7 but yeah, kind of wish troom bosses dropped tokens.
