can't make account

I want to be able to chat and do other things on realm of mad god but it tells me to make an account to do that when I try making an account connected to my steam account so I don't lose my progress the register button doesn't work

You really just need to choose a name for your account. When you first get to nexus, look for the NPC to the left to change your name.

You're welcome. It can also be done from the top of the character selection screen. Keep in mind that you can only change your name for free once.

If you want to make a named account, open Realm of the Mad God Exalt through steam and then choose to open the application as Legacy, not Exalt. Once you do that, sign in or make an account and then play through the tutorial. Once your at the nexus, then you can talk to the gold knight in the corner to make a named account. Then you can log out of Legacy, go back to steam and launch Realm of the Mad God Exalt, and then it should work.
