when it says "an existing connection was forcibly closed by a remote host', what does it mean?

im trying to play and i keep getting this, whats the deal with it?

I'm having the same issue D: I was mid dungeon and suddenly everything stopped working and now I haven't been able to reconnect for a good half hour or so.

Of course the second I finally post a response it starts working for me, lmao.

Maybe someone should inform the devs, it could be a recurring issue with their servers that needs fixing...

Supposedly it happens when you load in into a dungeon or nexus from one, can even happen from vault or by simply joining the game into nexus (on rare occasions), and all of this happens randomly.
The worst one in my opinion is being disconnected after a server has crashed, if that happens then youre most likely to be unable to join back for the next 50-60mins., might be more.

So far no info about fixing this problem, not that i know of any to this day.

hang on, do the devs know about windows 11 by chance? i know it sounds silly, but it could be that they use windows 10 still and that their game needs to be touched up to be more compatible with 11. i mean, the game is decades old, right?

This is a reoccurring issue for everyone, when they release an update the servers are busier than normal, causing these terrible realm crashes. Often times im locked out of playing the game for 30 mins to an hour. It happens every single day even multiple times per day and has been like this for as long as i can remember.
