(u can still die ez on a wizzard since it has really low defensive)
BTW : never buy classes for gold :P if u want to get them level up every class to level 20. thats it
You gotta learn how to dodge and which attacks to evade in priority in glands. When i lvl up new chars i can stroll about in glands at lvl 10 without being scared of dying, so when you get good you won't be dying in glands ever at all, or rarely. The scariest thing to watch out for as an unmaxed char in glands are multiple medusa bombs or leviathans. being trapped by a few djins can be scary at time too.
M8, I'm pretty sure last time I checked, warrior has a high defense in total, which is what OP said. Also, if we're going to talk pot wise on defense, then all classes not knight suck because each class only gets to drink 25 defense pots max, compared to the Knight's 40. Also, if we're going by worse defense out of the 3 melee classes, then it's Paladin, because he only gets heavy armor, compared to the defense located in the Knight's shield and Warriors helm.
Anyway, back to OP. The best starter classes I would say are Wizzard, Archer, Warrior, Knight, and Necromancer. I'd say knight here, because he may have a slightly harder learning curve, but he's able to soak a lot more damage, compared to the other classes and has a stun ability which prevents the enemies from attacking. Knight has a medium to highish DPS.
Warrior can dance circles around things and is pretty much "♥♥♥♥ your bullets, I go vroom vroom." Plus, it is an extremely easy class to use, even though both knight and warrior require a bit more attention to learning the projectile pattern of the enemies. Both of these classes have a good long life span, as long as you do not ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Warrior = High-Very high DPS
Wizzard, is by far an easy class as you get 2 projectiles and a spell bomb that destroys. Basically, sit back, relax, and space the spacebar while firing in the general direction of the enemy. High DPS. Although keep in mind, he doesn't have very much defense and is squishy, but that's why you sit a decent ways back and not right in the enemy's face, you suicidal maniac.
Archer is a mid range class, which the ability to fire off 3 shots on a bow. Medium-High DPS. Not as squshy as a wizzard, but certainly not tanky. Although his ability requires you to be a little accurate, it's a lot easier than knight or warrior because you don't have to dodge as much. Again, don't be in the front lines you jackass.
Necromancer is like Wizzard, except a lower DPS rate. The DPS on this class is medium, however it trades DPS for life steal, which can keep you alive for a good long while. Don't be on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ front lines and you'll do fine.
I'll give you one major tip here that no one has given yet. LEARN THE BULLET PATTERNS AND YOU'LL BE GOOD AT EVERY CLASS 100%. Also, be careful when you go to run Oryx's castle, because everyone rushes. Stay with a small group of people that are rushing verus rushing on your own. Unless you're Rouge, in which case GO RIGHT A HEAD AND RUSH, YOU INVISIBLE THIEF!
Also, here's the maxed stats for each class.
