vault chest unlocker?

when i got it from the callender thingy, it would not open one of my chests and it would keep saying "please get out of your vault and try again in your vault" and ive been doing it for the past 2 hours! please help

* have it in your backpack (on you)
* leave vault and enter again (going pet yard, nexus or quest-room will all do)
* shift-click the chest in your backpack. it should seem to disappear, but a text will say you unlocked one
* either stay for about 5 mins, or leave vault once more and return... new chest will show up, unlocked

I know, quite difficult way to get it working, but more things work this way in RotMG, sadly :-/

Took me one try, had it inventory it told me to leave and re enter, did, got back, double clicked and in about 10 seconds it was unlocked and now I dont have to die inside losing a backpack because I now have another vault chest.
