Buying rotmg gold issue

Game keeps saying that the steam overlay is disabled and i can't buy gold but its not? how do i fix this.

I've heard there's issues buying gold via Steam, especially on Mac. But I'm not sure. There have been other threads about this with a different error message.

there's 2 places on Steam to check for the overlay!

1st: Ingame it says to go to your library, then right click on RotMG and find "properties". Once there you find the "General" tab and on that is the option to enable ovelay (checkmark before it and it's enabled).

2nd: But, the overal overlay may be disabled too (Steam will announce that if it's still not enabled once you tried the first step). This was a bit searching, but on the Steam window, top left is the link to "steam". Then go to "settings" and on the list there go to "in-game". Here too is an option to "enable overlay while in-game". Checkmark this one too and you should be directed back to the game

Thanks for the suggestion but both overlays are enabled. Both the games individual one mentioned in point 1 and the overall overlay mentioned in point 2. As for the other guy, i honestly have no idea how people game on mac, sorry.
