Although it's annoying, you can tell you didn't really want it to begin with.
x4 copies averted here and many reccomendations i would have done.
Actually since owning worms on the amiga i am an avid fan, for you to make a blanket statement in reply to luckz i think says much about your opinion.
I do however fear that most of the recent ones had big drawbacks that made them meh for me. I bought one or two of the Xbox 360 titles and they were lacking super obvious party game features like playing with multiple online and local players together.
So, while I'd sure love to buy this if it was a good game, this forum (network disconnect thread, this thread, others) show me that it's plagued by developer laziness. If I had had good reasons to believe it could be as good as the first titles, I surely would have preordered. As it is, it still seems better to play Armageddon with third party patches as anything post-World Party merely ranges between mediocre and tolerable.
I could probably live with either a broken animations system or broken networking, but the sum of those are already a little much to bear, and that's assuming the game has no other bugs, oversights, etc.
I agree. I think the problem is exacerbated by the camera moving around so smoothly and the water flowing so smoothly too. It just highlights how rough the animations look at 30fps
Runs nice and smooth for me on an ATI HD6850. You might wanna try emailing support@team17.com
This game is just fun for me. I appreciate that you don't want to play it because it doesn't run at 60fps....but really, that's your loss. You're the one missing out, although clearly you feel you've saved yourself some grief by avoiding it.
Lag and low framerate are two totally different things. The animations on the worms looks choppy and not smooth because they only run at 30 frames per second. Consider some of us regularly game on 120hz screens that can display 120 frames per second. The game looks very very odd having the background rendered at a smooth 60 or 120 frames per second, but then the worms are animated at only 30 frames per second. Has nothing to do with input lag just framerate and smoothness.
