First of all, greetings from Mexico! I had the same problem — I wanted to play Split Fiction with my brother (I'm on PC, Steam, and he's on PS5), but I kept getting the dreaded 401-6e error.
I tried a million "miracle solutions," but nothing worked.
Trying things on my own, I unlinked my Steam account from EA through the EA account manager at myaccount.ea.com. Then, from another EA game (in my case Apex Legends, since I was lucky enough to have it already installed), I logged into my EA account.
After that, I closed Apex Legends and opened Split Fiction, and to my surprise, the damn error was finally gone.
If this helped you, please give me a like so people know this is the solution. If it didn’t, give me a dislike so people know it’s not.
