Am I stuck?

In chapter "Hopes of Spring - The Underlands" I accidentally took the main route instead of the side route to get into the portal. I tried to go back, but in the part where you go through the cave (where there's the hook in the middle and the flowery top for the monkey), I can't go back because the monkey can't reach the top of the cave even if I jump while sprinting. I can't reach to the hook either.
