In-game pairing with random players?
Does this game have that feature? Or do we need a specific friend to play with?

Good question. If there is no MP game search or lobby, then it is useless.

I used to play similar game without it and it was just waste of time. 2 hours looking for someone around, 1 hour play. No thank you.

No, there is no such feature. Their previous games did not have it either. You need to play with someone you know, or find a person that is dedicated to play the game with you.
Personally, I would not even touch that game if I had to play with a random person.

Unironically this. When I first played It Takes Two, I got ditched 4 times mid-playthrough by random people. Eventually got to finish it with a cool guy who was no fluke, but that really soured the experience
I paired with a person that barely knows platforming and had zero reflexes and it made the game truly hardcore and doubled my playtime.. 10/10 would never try again ever.,
The friends pass is free to download so I don't really see a reason to want to play it with a stranger. All your friend would need is enough storage space to download the pass :)

Assuming we have friends to begin with, or at least those that would wanna play this game.
