How to play this game in a SINGLE player mode?

I do not have friends to play with. Can I play this game in single player mode?
From the start up menus it seemed no way to "skip" the 2nd player.
If this game MUST have two players then I say this is a very stupid requirement.

Hazelight is known for their coop games, It takes two, A way out and Split Fiction all REQUIRE a second player, you can't play in a single player mode. You should've read it before buying the game (and I hope you didn't actually buy it)

I think I have played some other game which also kinda require two players but they did have options to let me control player A, do some steps and then stand still and let me switched control to player B. But well if this game Devs were so good at making 2-players require games in the past and were popular, then it means there are lots of potential game lovers for such kind of games.

It's very easy to get people to play with in Hazelight official Discord-server.
Just make a post in the looking for a player channel and you'll be playing in no time.

Look, the good thing is that only one copy of the game needs to be bought. So, if you buy it, you can easily find someone who would want to play with you but can't afford to buy it themselves.

The number of dumb people complaining about there being no single player or matchmaking is insane. 1. Make some friends. The Friend Pass is free. They won't need to buy anything. 2. Accept that not every game is made for or catered towards you.
