When I sent the invite it would pop up so quick he couldn't accept it, BUT after i set up the lobby and was waiting for him (he was the one using the friend pass) he went into host game, he clicked invite friend from EA server, then when he clicked on my name in the EA friend list it gave him the option to join me, rather than host the game!
Hope this helps you! :)
Thanks for taking the time to share this :)
this is absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid. My buddy on xbox had to download the ea app on his craptop to accept my friend request. they need to add a way for xbox users to accept invites this is stupid as all hell
Thank you! We've been trying to find an answer for hours and finally came upon this. Looks like it will work for us too! We're also playing Xbox >> Steam. He (Xbox) had purchased it.
It doesn't seem right on my side cuz the option is like "create server" or whatever, but sure enough, there he is and I can join his game instead.
We had to add each other on EA App
And then she hosted it online and invited me, but the invite would pop up on the corner so quickly and blip away so you just gotta be quick asf and I spammed my mouse on the accept button and somehow worked
