friend pass / family sharing

im trying to play this game with someone im also family sharing with and since im family sharing with them when i bought the game it shows up on there library as well. making the friend pass impossible to download is there any work around for this

I'm also having the same problem. I thought maybe it was because of my library share, but I didn't have this problem with It Takes Two. My guess is developer may have to relaunch friend pass or Steam is taking a poo because of so many people accessing at one time

Having the same problem here, when I want to add the friends pass to library I just get an error.

Yeah I also get the error. There is whole thread talking about the error, but no solution has been found yet

Basically what I did is I downloaded the full game through library sharing then both me and the main account who owns the game (My fiance) Launched the game. When I launched the game it showed friend pass version for me and full game for him.

So basically my friend and I had the same issue. We share our libraries in family share. I was able to just download the game yesterday via preload. Friend code was not able to be added to the library... So I let him send and invite via steam after accepting the invite I was able to join and we were able to play.

We also sharing library, but instead of friend pass you can still use remote play, it works well

we also can not play with family share. spending all of the refund time just trying to
get the game to work... which means its almost time for the refund and negative review.

OKAY guys i found the a solution what i did is have my brother launch the game on ea launcher! and invite them on ea server, one person will have to download the friend pass on the ea launcher. should work been playing with no problems hope this helps and have fun bros

I don't have this game but I played "A Way Out" from the same studio with a friend that is in my family share group and we used Remote Play Together, don't know if this game allows people to do that.

just install the full game then u will found that is actually the Friend Pass version, at least it is my situation.

I have family sharing and I was able to play it with the friends pass. My husband brough the game and instead of downloading it from the library I went to the Split fiction store page. It should say "Play Split Fiction - Friend's Pass". Install that and you should be good

we are three in a steam family.
Person A, Person B and Person C

Only Person A bought and own the game.
Split Fiction supports family sharing and because of that Person B and C alo have the game in there library and can install it without a problem.

But when Person B and C wants to play online together, they can only play the "Demo"!!

Is this normal behaviour??

My husband and I just did the same thing. I bought the game, and he didn't. We both downloaded it, too. The person that bought the game needs to invite the one with friend pass. No issues. It was seamless.
