About the reviews
Is it just me or do most of the reviews look like paid actors and bots?

Edit: my steam profile's comment section got botted
coincidence?

Ok, now the reviews look more reliable.
Acting like gamers don't know what hazelight is, is disingenuous. A way out, it takes two, and now split fiction. Just because you didn't, should not be extrapolated infinitely out. Nearly every gamer I know, is familiar with them, that is because I hang out and play games with mostly co op gamers. Hazelight has actively created great co op experiences as a focus. This shouldn't be expanded out infinitely either, but it is clearly contrasting your experience.

As for the game itself, I enjoy it and cinematically and comedically it is good, but imo these type of games are barely games and are just wholesome stories to play with a significant other, or bro. They aren't difficult and are just kind of an enjoyable shared cinematic experience.

I did like Steam reviews before but now it's so much politics and all that jazz put into the reviews. On top of that the world is diverse and a game can get heavily downvoted for not including good chinese translations, something i understand but at the same time i don't care about. Steam reviews nowdays are diluted and the best way to know if a game is good or not is to actually play it. Steam refund policy is still good and worth using.

Yeah it appears that bots are a little rampant, or at least woke activists that is basically the same thing.

Yep a lot of games get out in front of the real reviews (from actual players). But over time the real reviews will come out. Just wait and never pre order. Gonna be a few more years before the virus is thinned out.

Nah you actually are onto something. This game was hella engagement farmed. All these random brand new chinese accounts are coming out of the woodwork filling the discussions with fake looking for game requests. Its so easy to notice when they all only recently played CS2, this game, and it takes two conveniently enough to try and build a fake image.

Weird world.

Hazelight games are relatively popular in China and Asia overall and they also had an endorsement with a huge influencer

This game is only around 28 bucks in China.

You need to get used to it. Chinese gamers are starting to take over steam

Whether that is true or not, there is no doubt that there is bot activity happening with this game.

Can't fathom the fact Asian gamers operate differently than westerners?

Ok. But china has always had their own version of steam that never really contributed to any statistics or discussions before AFAIK. The great firewall and all that, for almost every service on the internet. Unless china really does not give a damn about vpn usage anymore.

Put your goal posts down and look at the OP's profile then go under his comments. He was clearly hit by a wave of bots after creating this thread. It is undeniable. Look at the time stamps, they come in clusters at the same time.

Yeah that was absolutely trash. This attitude of being willfully ignorant to how much china cheats and manipulates the online space is actually annoying. Even some chinese who leave china dont deny how bad it is and they themselves get mad about the stereotype being true.
