Friend pass cross console

So trying to figure out the best family system to buy the game on but still have the ability to cross play in our home as needed. Home has a PS5, 3 x pcs and a steamdeck.

My lean is the PS5 since it's in the living room and couch coop is a dying system that my family still loves to play.

But for scenarios if friend pass is downloaded on the home Steamdeck (in case someone wants their own screen rather than split screen) and outside the home Xboxes (including friends) how will the PS5 be able to "find" those friend pass systems?
Does split fiction have a way to add cross platform friends so long as the friendpass is installed?

Crossplay exists regardless of platform, as it will use EA's account system.

You need to have an EA account, and have it logged into in the game (There's a "log into your EA account" right in the game). Then you can send an invite via crossplay, as long as crossplay has been enabled on the console of your choice. You do NOT need to use the EA launcher or get the game form their store if playing on PC. I got it off steam and played with my friend on Xbox and it worked fine.

Crossplay is by using EA account, the other player will need one too. You do not need to use EA except for crossplay with console or if it’s between Steam and EA. So if you just play on Steam no need for ea account or ea play app. I didnt check to see if the game is in epic store or not but I assume it is likewise for crossplay if so.
